Saying "no" to others so that I can respect the "yes" to me. Thanks so much for your amazing videos, Julia! I get something out of them every single time, and little by little I absorb the information and transform it into actively "living" the newly aquired knowledge.

no matter what you do they will have a opinion starting a business, getting married , not getting married , traveling, not travelling, there is a reason way they say keep your dreams and goals to yourself.

That is for sure! One thing that will never change is that humans always have their own thoughts ;-)

Worry less about people's thoughts and focus more on your thoughts. Focus on what you are cultivating and let ourselves be imperfect. We definitely need more of this!

    Julia, Former Senior Shifter here!
My thoughts and notes on Julia’s TH-cam video (1/10/2025),
5 Things You Must Stop Caring About in 2025 to truly Love Yourself and Your Life.
As I reflect on these five points, I can clearly see the areas I have been working on and those I still need to address.
I particularly appreciate the point about not comparing yourself to other people's journeys. Engaging in my inner work has helped me with this, and I will continue to focus on it. Now, it's time to take more action. As long as I don't care about other people's opinions or compare myself to them, I can direct my energy toward my own journey.
I have some ideas about what I want and need in my life. Now it's a matter of taking the first step to turn these ideas into a plan and goal.
    Here are my notes:
Caring too much about the wrong things and not as much for the right things
1, Stop caring so much about other people's opinions.
    2. Stop comparing yourself to other people's journey.
    3. Stop trying to be someone else.
    4. Stop trying to get it all right.
    5. Stop being a people-pleaser.
What you want, think, need or feel counts too.

    ~Breathing Underwater ~
    " Metric"
Is an uptempo piece that I believe is about persistence in facing the challenges life brings and adapting to changes beyond our control. It’s about accepting our existence instead of looking for something fake to replace it. And it’s about realizing that everything in life is flawed, including our heroes… so it’s not wise to elevate anyone too highly in our perceptions, as that can become fantasy; they’re human and will probably disappoint us sometimes. In short: stay grounded, and stick with the real thing.
    “I’m the blade
    You’re the knife
    I’m the weight
    You’re the kite
They were right when they said
    We were breathing underwater
Out of place all the time
In a world that wasn’t mine to take
    I’ll wait
    Is this my life?
    Ahhh
    Am I breathing underwater?
    Is this my life?
    Ahhh
    Am I breathing underwater?
    I’m the blade
    You’re the knife
    I’m the weight
    You’re the kite
They were right when they said we should never meet our heroes
When they bowed at their feet, in the end it wasn’t me
    Is this my life?
    Ahhh
    Am I breathing underwater?
    Is this my life?
    Ahhh
    Am I breathing underwater?
    Nights are days
We’ll beat a path through the mirrored maze
    I can see the end
    But it hasn’t happened yet
    I can see the end
    But it hasn’t happened yet
    Is this my life?
    Ahhh
    Am I breathing underwater?
    Is this my life?
    Ahhh
    Am I breathing underwater?
    Am I breathing underwater?
    Am I breathing underwater?”

How can you do the future you workshop if you don’t even know who you are right now? Don’t you need to know who you are first?

  • @CrazyGaming-ig6qq
    @CrazyGaming-ig6qq 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

Step #5 is extremely difficulty to handle when you have diagnosises like ADHD and/or on the Autism-spektrum; especially if both of these. If you are your authentic self you are super annoying to other people. So you have to moderate yourself a lot (or you'll just end up completely ostracized and socially isolated). But limiting yourself, moderating yourself, means giving up authenticity, and it means you become constricted and often this leads to being much more "inside your head" instead of in the real world, so you become more removed from whatever social setting you are in. Which in turn also leads to becoming ostracized and socially isolated.... So you're kinda doomed if you do and doomed if you don't. Of course the key lies in figuring out striking a balance between both worlds. Easier said than done. (to put it very very mildly).

Please explain. I heard nothing that sounded egotistical. I don’t really want to be liked except by those who already like me. People like me a lot more than I like them. Feel like saying, hey, I’m just being nice. Not your new therapist and we’re not friends….now this may sound a bit egotistical but guess what? ….don’t care.
