- At the iconic National Arboretum nest, Mr. President is in the nest when The First Lady arrives. He wastes no time approaching her, and TFL seems receptive to these advances. Afterward, Mr. P goes off in search of a new stick while TFL stays behind to work on the nest. One of my favorite nests I love these two they were such great parents to Freedom and Liberty that started my addiction to the Eagle cams...😘
Hi Loretta - I may have spoken to you before. Freedom and Liberty were my first eagle babies too! I just looked back to refresh my memory: Egg #1 Feb 10; Egg #2 Feb 14, 2016. They both had fledged by June 5. I can still remember what a newbie I was back then! Even though things are looking really positive🤞I'm afraid to get my hopes up. At any rate, I don't think we'll have an egg by Feb 14th this year, though hopefully it won't be too much longer. My hope is that they take their time, and even if it's the end of Feb before the first egg, that will be okay too. Remember that now iconic picture and video of MrP laying over TFL while she was incubating the eggs during that freak snow/ice storm on March 14, 2017? I just got through watching the video for probably the 50th time, and it moves me every time. I love these eagles, my first couple, so much. P.S. I remember staring in amazement as TFL got up off the eggs and the ice fell to the sides and not on the eggs! And there lying in the nest grasses, two perfect eggs unharmed, later to hatch and given names Honor and Glory. Stop me now. I'll be doing a history of this nest 🤗💐💚
@@lindakaymills8746 Hi, thanks for the memories...When Mr P was on TFL in the snow storm I took pictures with my camera, so touching, so loyal, true love....I remember watching Freedom and Liberty morning and night, I was always afraid I would miss a special moment. Those two touched my heart like no other, it was so memorable I didn't want it to end I didn't want them to leave. Yes Glory and Honor beautiful babies I loved watching them copy mom's every move and become the most beautiful juvies.💕 I m sure we will talk again, and no maybe no babies in February but let's hope for March....Take Care 😊
