AEF NADC EAGLE CAM: 25 MAR 2019 - A Visitor Learns a Lesson

- From the Bald Eagle nest of Mr. President and The First Lady located at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C.
A new visitor spends several hours coming and going from the nest on March 25, 2019. Much of that time is spent with Mr. President, who tends to be very tolerant of visitors. Unfortunately for the visitor, the same cannot be said about The First Lady. She has perfected the Divebomb technique for ushering away unwanted guests and the visitor gets to experience it, up close and personal.

The male was so patient. When the visitor moved the sticks he seemed to say "Come on man, that doesn't even go there what are you doing"

That is so funny that Mr. P noticed the moved stick and put it back where it belonged. I am surprised he even allowed the visitor to stay in the nest at all.

This was very interesting it’s super cool and really the eagles are adorable
WOW!!! That's FAST! I would never think they could fly so fast! She must have been mad to see someone else in her nest. How did she know which eagle was the visitor? It looks like it could have been a strategy worked out between the two. "You get up on the branch and I'll dive bomb him out." I don't know what she did to the visitor after you see her chasing him off at the end but I'm guessing it's not good. I like how the male just looks at the visitor as he/she tumbles head over heals out of the nest. It's like he's thinking so nonchalantly, "Huh. I wonder if he's going to die down there."
That WAS fast, and Mr. P knew exactly what was gonna happen. That's why he jumped on the branch to get outta the way. Bet you're right, but I do hope the visitor is okay. It's probably just passing through. ☮😉🦅

Great-Horned Owl's attack Eagles in their nests at night time and there ain't much an eagle can do about it.They just sit there all worried and weather the storm with hit's from Great Horn's,it's all on TH-cam.

Ira Lemon, unfortunately there’s no way of knowing if this was a male or female eagle. Some people out there like to assume that every eagle that spends time with Mr P is a female looking to steal him for a mate, but this is simply not the case. Most of these “visitors” (we really dislike the term “intruder” because it denotes malicious intent) are just stopping to check things out before proceeding on their way. 😊

I have a hard time believing that this was a random male allowed to just come into the nest visit as long as he wants and even take a fish he brings home , I’ve learned quite a deal about these birds and. And I’ve learned that male ( visitors)can’t just help themselves like this and get away with it there very territorial birds 🦅 so if this eagle was allowed to stay as long as she did it’s because it’s more then likely a female because she was bigger then him and second Mr p is not gonna bring a fish to another male eagle 🦅 the ( visitor) obviously thought she found a new man with the beak kisses on his head showing him affection ... until TFL came home and ran her out .. which exaains my point exactly .. the lady of the nest ( TFL ) was not gonna let that female just sit there in her nest so this was a new female who was trying to nest with MR p I’ve watched and studied these birds enough to know MR p was clearly entertaining another female while the lady was out .... random eagles 🦅 can’t just come and help themselves it’s rare if it happens and it does but for the most part ... but this was not a male look at what he did to the other males trying to get comfortable in his nest and those were juice males he wasn’t having it and the females are always bigger then the males this was clearly a female for her to behave like this was her nest without MR p chasing her out

Mr. M. told the visitor do not move the sticks that organizes is my wife, you do not know who you get with. She was trained by the United States Air Force and as a good soldier she defends her territory
