    I love Pierogies. But since being diagnosed with celiac a couple years ago I haven’t been able to eat them. I tried your recipe and Oh My Goodness ~ they were awesome!! We made about 65 and there were no leftovers! I have a large family and they can all eat regular ones. But yours were a hit ~ even with the grandkids. And now that’s what they ask for. So I’m making them again today ~ loaded potato Pierogies!! Can’t wait. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!!

    I love pierogi fried a bit like you did, served with onions fried in butter and a dollop of sour cream. I haven't been able to find pre-made pierogi since I lived in Alberta. Your recipe looks nice and simple. I'll definitely need to make some. Maybe I'll use potatoes from the garden. I honestly like the plain potato pierogi, or potato and cheese.

    Well just made the pierogies and have to say they were excellent. Made my own potato, bacon, onion and cheese filling. Used red mill gluten free flour, cause that's what I had. Otherwise followed your directions ( watched the video 10 times. LOL)dough is a bit different, as you said it doesn't stretch much, but was easy enough to work with. Going to do another batch with a ricotta cheese filling tomorrow. Looking forward to trying your other recipes. My friend is going to be very happy😊Thank you

    Awesome! Thank you. You make it look so easy. I make these for my family with wheat dough but miss out on eating them. I tried gluten free once and it was a disaster so I am looking forward to trying again with your recipe and tips. My mum's filling is mashed potatoes, cream cheese, half a pack of pressed cottage cheese, a bit of grated cheddar and some diced onion fried in butter till just starting to turn golden. Also lots of pepper.
    We also make them with fresh blueberries in the summer but the gluten free dough might not have enough stretch over the berries. Will see......
    Thank you again.

      Thanks for your comment. Love reading what people make or have with their recipes. Gluten-free baking is more challenging. There isn't much stretch so I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are successful with your blueberry pierogi.

      Well I finally tried making them and wow! The dough is easy to work with and after some adjustments in how much filling to put they go together like a charm. Thanks for the great recipe. 😃

      Hi Dina,
      I've been working on a phylo dough for a while now. Once I've perfected it I'll be sure to post my recipe. In the meantime, try the pierogi recipe to make Spanokopitakia. I'd love to hear how they worked out.

    Hello there, I wonder what is going on with the potatoes you use to make filling? Seems like there is too much water in it, next time rinsed them properly and check what kind of potatoes you use.

      Hey there. I buy the flour from the glutenfreefrankies.com website. They sometimes also have it on Amazon, but I see right now it isn't there.

    • @GlutenFreeGuy
      @GlutenFreeGuy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely you can freeze them. I would recommend freezing them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silpat and then bagging them once they're frozen. Thanks for commenting.

      @@GlutenFreeGuy this would be after they are boiled correct?

    • @GlutenFreeGuy
      @GlutenFreeGuy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No. Just freeze them. Then, when you want to use them, drop them in the boiling water right from the freezer.
