Hello there, I wonder what is going on with the potatoes you use to make filling? Seems like there is too much water in it, next time rinsed them properly and check what kind of potatoes you use.

Hi! Thanks SO much for this video. In the past, I've tried making them a few times without success. But your video solved the problem; my pan was not the right temperature! When I saw that you used a laser thermometer, I literally dashed to the garage and found mine. I followed your guidance exactly (189.2f!) and now I have 7 perfect crumpets. I'm in England so crumpets are 'common' here but I've started to do what some Americans do and have tried them with eggs - poached, scrambled, fried etc. Just proves that the US/UK bond is still strong!! I'm glad I'm not the only person whose kitchen became smoky chaos whilst making lekach....although my experience was over 2 decades ago, I remember it vividly and wondered what I'd done wrong. It was overfilling the pan. No matter what vessel you use for baking this cake, I'd urge you not to fill it past 1/2 full.

Hi. Thanks for the comment. If it's Frankie's bread mix, then no. The yeast and everything is already added to the mix.
Should the egg be room temperature or is it irrelevant?
Room temperature is suggested, however I've never really worried too much about egg temperature. Especially with this recipe as the dough needs to be cool to roll out.

What is in the gluten-free All Purpose Flour blend?, if there is some corn or rice filler it's not safe for celiacs because it still contains gluten of some kind. I like you man, great job.

Ohhh yes…. This looks amazing. As always, love the ideas ! And yesssss your pasta dough works perfectly and is really good. I haven’t tried it yet in my pasta machine, I just roll it , I just need to adjust everything dairy free. But I already found out that the bechamel is quite good with vegan butter , Frankie’s flour and a mix of soy milk and coconut milk.. this recipe will be made this coming week for dinner. Thank you!!! So happy to read your comment. I'll aim to make more vegan dishes on the channel... but yes, vegan butter and some form of non dairy milk will work great. Have you tried chia seeds or flax as an egg substitute?
