Good day! I literally grew up in Miracle Whip! I have done this before but not like this! Being biracial I used the sand which spread in my tuna as well with diced pickles. But, but let me tell you ….. this is the best tuna/ macaroni salad I ever tasted! Lawd have mercy! My old man and my kids went crazy for this. Potluck Sunday is coming up at my church and yes yessss I will be bringing this. 😜 thank you my sista for this incredible dish. Blessings are being sent t to you.

This looks so good!! I'm a duke's girl because of my mama. She hates anything sweet in savory food.. meanwhile she comes home all the time with bags of candy 😂 She won't even eat certain types of American cheese because she thinks it tastes sweet 🙄
Thank you so much! Some people like sweets but don’t like savory things that taste sweet if that makes sense. My husband doesn’t like sugar in his food either. I also never knew that American cheese had sugar. Interesting!
Thank you!! A little garnishing would’ve definitely added depth and appeal! I prefer the traditional way my family has always made it, but, I love learning other cultures variations, because I’m sure they’re all just as delicious!
Exactly how I have made it for decades with Miracle Whip not Helleman's! Delicious! I also add some hot sauce to give it a little kick. Yummy! Besides bread, crackers, or alone, you can also have it on romaine or iceburg leaf and eat as a lettuce wrap. Good stuff!
I’ve never tried it with hot sauce but I’m sure it taste delicious! I did have it as a lettuce wrap before but I felt like it was missing the bread lol. We grew up using Miracle whip even on sandwiches. Hellmans doesn’t have much flavor to me but I’m open to it, if that’s all that’s available. Thanks for watching and giving your input!!!
I know what you mean because I grew up eating it that way. But I used to pick out the celery and onions so once I began making it on my own, I never included those ingredients since I simply don’t like them in my macaroni tuna salad. Thanks for watching and for your feedback😁
Welcome and thank you for subscribing! I don’t eat shrimp anymore, but when I used to eat shrimp salad, it was more of a seafood salad that included shrimp, crab, salmon and tuna. I used the exact same ingredients but added Old Bay seasoning for that seafood flavor. I hope that answers your question!!!😊
@@womanwelldone Hi, yes I eat tuna. I use pretty much the same ingredients as you do but I like to gently toss the salad so as not to mash up and "mutilate" the tuna into a tuna 'paste'. Also, the tuna you are using reminds me of cat food. It's the Chicken of the Sea tuna. It's the lowest grade of tuna fish in the market. I use Albacore Tuna which when you open the can, you can see large pieces of tuna still together from the fish itself. When I add it to my salad, I gently toss it around trying not to break up, mash or mutilate the large pieces. It looks nicer. When you and especially your guests have a bite on their fork, they will be able to see nice big chunks of tuna fish. If you have not tried Albacore Tuna, you should try it. It's right next to your Chicken of the Sea on the same shelf. 👍
@@oneitalia2312 ok, so you prefer chunks of Tuna instead. I wouldn’t be opposed to trying the Albacore tuna in order to get that textual difference. In many cultures, you can have the same ingredients for a recipe, but several ways of making it. That’s what makes us beautifully unique and diverse especially when it comes to food. Although you used the terms “mutilated” and “mashed” to describe how I’ve prepared the tuna; that’s exactly how I intended it to be, despite it not being your preference. I appreciate your feedback and will give your way a try one day because I love trying new recipes! Thanks for watching the video!
