I like hearing all the wisdom you have. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re going on too much. They can fast forward and the rest of us can enjoy. I think you need to blu the spacer so it doesn’t look new. Love seeing all the bikes you build. Keep up the good work.
Good speed, loving how it is shaping up. Haven't seen the movie but figured it was zero. As a kid I only ever saw japanese and british choppers. Harley choppers came much later in the late 70s and early 80s in my neighbourhood
@@weemsmotorco I really miss them. I have an 865 carb speedmaster I want to turn into an old school style chopper. I'd really love to see you do one and call it the executioner
Hollywood presented British Bikes in the 1950's Marlon Brando film "The Wild One"...they were modified, but not to the extent of the choppers which came later. That movie might be the last incident of Hollywood being correct about anything related to motorcycles...or anything else.
IMO no one would say anything about new tire's, break's, or clutch disks. Where item's would not count to Me however I get what Your doing & still am loving it. Good luck with the basket case clutch. 😁👍
Hey Weems. I can safely bet that I'm not the only one that feels this way, but I think you need to talk more in your videos. I truly love how you explain everything. This video when you were showing the time lapse, I didn't know what the parts were. I miss the technical commentary that you provide. Just want to give you my two cents. Keep the grade videos coming brother 👍
First let me say that the background music is much better than the last video. Second, if you use a wet clutch application without primary fluid will it still work properly? Finally I can't wait for the jury to render its verdict!
I remember seeing atleast a few brit bikes in the movie. However, the movie was supposed to have an emphasis on the time he spent with the outlaw’s motorcycle club, which is why there are more Harleys than anything else in the movie.
Enjoyed your video! Open primary is totally Rad!!! I don’t think I’ve watched any of my 4 TVs since before August?!? Haha I normally only watch likeminded Harley Davidson builders?! You’re bridging the gap? I see many Honda cb750’s and up. alone with Triumphs at some shows I’ve been to recently….. the triumphs have a real following and seem to be invading the scene more and more. I dig’em!!!!! Thanks for the content!!!
Hey man, I enjoy the long videos the short videos. I can't stop learning lol. Just keep it up. I'm learning. Would love to meet you in person. I have mechanical questions. Love the videos.
The Bike riders has at least 5 brit bikes. The race scenes have three (probably the same three in all race scenes) and the scene where the young thugs with the X on their jackets are crossing the bridge has two. If you look at any pictures or video of bikers in the 60s the majority are riding sportsters or triumphs. All in all not a bad movie but it would be nice if they would try a little harder. Keep up the good work Mr. Weems
St. Francis of Assisi was considered a saint of metal workers, so, bless you my friend! October 4th is Feast of St. Francis of Assisi day! As St. Francis tried to literally live his life as Jesus did his, he is regarded a saint of many things, including animals and our environment. People throughout the world bless their pets in his honor. Don't forget to set aside a few minutes to bless all of your pets (and other things, like plants, if you so desire). 🙏 ✌️
Well, sure there could have been more British bikes in the movie. However, I'm certain there are some non-Harleys in the Bikeriders. Check the "Tom Hardy burns the bar down" scene, for example. When the gang arrives at the bar, there is at least one British bike (the British is all the way on the right, seems to be a Triumph). There is also a BMW in that scene, it seems.
the bikerider had triumphs in the scene when Johnny is racing bikes and declares his intention to start a riding club. also if you look there were other british bikes throughout the movie. Maybe you should watch it again.
None are in that movie Williams anyway I’m trying to remember your first name. This is Eric from California from San Diego area so anyhow talk to you soon. Send you another one of these down the line bye for.
Long videos, short videos.. I dont care, I watch you cos you're interesting.. I was wondering about the brittish bikes cos the time in which the movie was set, brittish bikes still had some popularity.. so why did they kill them off in the movie? Anyhow.. keep twisting that wrist uncle Jarod..
@@weemsmotorco you make me wanna build something uncle Jarod.. Tools just laying here ready to start wrenching.. say a prayer for me please? Just need some good business decisions..
in the 50 and 60s America was brit bike mad look at the film "The wild one with Marlon Brando "lots of them. i think its an American pride thing the same as Americans say it was the Harley Davidson that was the liberator of Europe in WW2 despite there was only 70.000 produced where as Norton 100.000. BSA 130.000 Matchless 80.000 etc and unfortunatly the best bike of WW2 was the BMW r6 Grrr. But my favourite was the BSA m20 and the Indian 741 scout. So no Harley wasnt the liberator and it wasnt supplyed till 1941 BSA was 1939 when the actual war started so if any bike should carry that title it should be the BSA m20 as Harleys were rare even for American troops. Do the maths and the BSA served in every theater of war in WW2 including Africa its belived that many Americans tried our brit bikes during the war and after WW2 they started buying them instead of Harleys that led to the brit bike craze as they were faster and more agile and cheaper and lighter
Not sure about the open primary. I've never understood why anyone would want more chains and exposed moving parts around their feet and legs. I'll be interested to see how it looks when it's all together. I started watching The Bikeriders... didn't really like it. I assumed the book was all Harley's after watching some of the movie. Jodie Comer was amazing in Killing Eve but I couldn't stand her character in this movie.
HAHA less talking bro every video of yours is like college learning . I wish You were 18 years before . on this way I never had to sale my Triumph chopper .. kudos \,,/
Viewing from the UK , yes saw bike riders .... didnt like it ,to much of the girl talking ... not sure how close to the Culture in the US it was at the time , but nothing to do with UK bike scene of the same era..... are you going to have a primary chain tensioner ? interesting build .
@@weemsmotorco With out the inner at least , chain case is it possible to keep the sprockets aligned ? my experience with Triumphs of this era is that bolt holes etc arnt as snug as one might like....resulting is a slight of set or miss alinement ? may be im just over thinking things .... weather to filthy in the UK to run this set up ...... thanks for keeping these old guys alive and running .
Lies, the beginning starts with a off road race (ok it's 20 minutes in). I cant even get a good look at them to know what they are. I actually could have watched a whole movie about that.
I don't mind longer vids because the more you explain things the more I learn ! 😁

I like longer vids as well. I enjoy learning about the triumps
