- This is my daughter first solo flight. If you are a parent you know the joy we were feeling to see this happen for the first time. Marissa has always wanted to flight, and to see the kids of today living out there dreams really shows how Blessed we really are and what we can achieve when we put GOD first.

I got emotional to see how a brave girl flying and touching sky it means her dream wat she wanted to fly airplane have done. Big love and great honour for pilot . Yes being parents absolutely very proud moment on daughter wat she did amazing. I have passion to fly too. Still I m a doctor but I have passion to fly like as her and oneday would be a pilot as well as. Much love from India 🇮🇳

Congratulations there young lady. I can still remember my 1st solo out of Calhoun GA many years ago. That is one of the most exhilarating things a person can experience. A day you'll never forget. Amen! I just got my private license on May 18th, so just a few days after her solo. Great to see her succeed in her dreams, mine took 30 years to accomplish, but like you said if you put god first you will be blessed in his glory.

Great Job Marissa. I was in the military and a U.S. Marine working as a Aircraft Weapons Armament Craftsman on F18's and the AF on F16's fighter jets. I have some pilot training as well. I am currently looking to complete my private pilot license. Great job on the walk around pre-flight and your solo. You will remember it for years to come. We all remember the solo flight and the shirt tail cut.

No, I am a airborne soldier, now retired. lol
i've always said a short prayer at the end of the runway before departing. On my solo flight in a piper colt back in the 1970's their was a big bang sound shortly after lift off.....it was the cowling blowing open. off on of the fasteners.
After re-fastening it I did a couple more take offs and landings. It was a perfect day with the wind blowing straight down the runway. Great job of pre-flight and congradulations on a great solo. rjb
Great and enjoy more in the years to come. I remember doing that some 40 odd years ago and the good feeling I had afterwards. Nothing can compare to the first solo of flight.

I was a nervous wreck my first solo.. wondering as I was sitting at the end of the runway.. "What am I doing here??" lol (solo'd in a piper tomahawk, kmsp)..

I thought we would see footage from the cockpit during flight, like any first solo flight I've ever seen in TH-cam. For some reason no GoPro was placed on board?
Yes, this was not planned footage. I just went down to see my daughter flight and thought I should film it. That is why video is all over the place without tripod. And no we dont have a GoPRO but I want her to get one so I can see what it looks like flying. I am US ARMY AIRBORNE...so i only jump out of planes for a living.
She should have taken a camera with her
Thanks for the pre-flight and walk around. I think and I'm guessing here, that it's a policy for the pilot to take, not to touch the pro/spinner assemblage, as this is a company mechanics issue held in insurance responsibility?In some walk-arounds, they instructors will say,"Pull or jostle the blade of prop a little to make sure that it's firmly attached", but this must be an in-company as per ownership issue.Fill us in if you know different please?Thanks nice landing
