  • How to panel line a Gundam. This video shows how to panel line your Gunpla. A quick video showing how I panel line my Gunpla with Vallejo Colors Acrylics. #Gunpla #Vallejo
    Hello All! Just a simple tutorial how to panel line with vallejo. I’m not used to Panel Lining so the start was a bit rocky 😅 but basically just mix paint and wash together, the reason why is because if you just use washes to panel line, it’s not very noticeable since washes are transparent.
    Thanks for watching! Hope you like it and continue learning with me in this hobby!

    Never had much luck with acrylic washes so I use the same go to I use with my 1/35 armor. Good old, oil paints and oderless thinner. I love the Abteilung 502 oils like Starship Filth to panel line with.

      Yeah it’s honestly a hit and miss with acrylic washes, I’ve since converted to oil washes and enamels too!

      you could add more washes so it will flow better, around 1 part paint to 3 parts wash would do. anyways, I’m glad it still helped you! 😁

    Thank you, I had pretty much give up trying to panel line acrylic gunpla but I will try it again! Doesn't the water cleanup mess up your finish?

      Water doesn’t affect it at all, of course you shouldn’t drown it in water, just wet it enough and you’re good to go. It’s always best to let your gloss topcoat cure overnight or even for a day before panel lining though.

    If I may ask, why do you use this method over the tamiya accent liner or gundam marker?

      I just simply have this on hand so it's what I use. You can use whatever product you want for panel lining, it all works the same, in my opinion. 😁

      The wash works on panel lines of any width. The marker won't. Also there is a subtle transparency to the wash which works.

    Can you panel line vallejo without the gloss varnish over vallejo paint? Or ??? Something bad will happen?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t advise it. because you will need to use water to clean up the panel liner which can also remove the vallejo paint below.

      @@NicoSuratos Thanks for the info appreciate it tho I assume if fully dried the paint won't be remove via water right?

      It’s still safer to apply a varnish on top since you also need to let the panel liner dry for a bit before removing it with water. But you can try it out without varnish if you really want to, I just don’t advise it :)
