So it turns out that the Master Airscrew factory Is lass than a mile away from my office. Every time a new prop comes out, I walk over at lunchtime and don’t have to pay for shipping. I feel blessed.

The Mini 3 is already pretty quiet, but the MA's do seem slightly quieter (maybe just lower pitch). Do look good! 👍

It would be great to have a comparison including decibels & frequencies; what I heard was only a slight difference in tone, but no difference in actual sound level. Also, a size comparison, length, width, angle & pitch twist, & also, blade area.

I have watched many videos on the Master Airscrew props for the DJI Mini series and even reviewed two sets and basically the best thing that can be said is that they 'look cool.' Noisier, not as well finished, more expensive than OEM DJI propellers, that doesn't leave much room for positive feedback. Oh , and the 'cool' factor disappears as soon as the Mini 3 is out of range of hearing.
Agreed. I have the Master Airscrew props on my Mini 3 Pro, and haven't noticed any real difference. I realize this is totally subjective, but to me, the green props made my drone look more like a toy, so I replaced them with the Master Airscrew black props. As noted above, they are not well finished, with extra casting material at some edges. No noticeable difference in sound or performance. The original DJI props, with the orange-edged tips, look nicer, in my opinion.
@@kevinforth7618 I removed the MA props on both the Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro. I am sure glad I did not have to pay for them! They are not up to par on either the DJI OEM props or MA's own wood scale propellers. I know Capt Drone said a lot about the color, but once airborne above the 1 - 3 meters that he flew during the review, you really can't see the colors at all. Unfortunately, even the cheap chinese clone props for the Mini 3 seem to work as good as these and they are incredibly cheap. I only use the DJI OEM props and only used the cheap chinese props to do a review of them. I have told all my drone friends to not bother with any of the MA props for DJI. As it stands, two sets for two different drone models and MA hasn't addressed any of the issues. I know that is a small sample size but these were retail packaged props from an authorized seller not cherry picked by MA, so I don't think anyone would get a set that are any different than the ones I received.

You make the coolest videos! I have 4 different colors on my mini 2, I will consider buying a mini 3 now, master air screw made props for it! The mini 2 is the 5th DJI drone I have used MAS props on, they are worth the cost in my opinion. That lower pitch is a result of more efficient props, producing the same lift at less rpm’s, this equals less stress on motors and they run noticeably cooler. No , I do not work for MAS, they just make fabulous props! The Captain also makes fabulous videos!

I JUST installed the orange props on my mini 3 pro a few days ago. I’m on the same page as you. They’re esthetically pleasing, but no change in performance.

I like this view, where you can see the propellerarms. Did this often with my Mavic 2, looking at the sides, watching those arms. This isn't possible anymore with the Mavic 3 sadly.
And yeah, I use the MA-Props too... mostly because of the colours and better sound.
The standard props appear to be in G minor while the Master Airscrew props are G major. Minor keys sound sad while major keys are happy. With the new props, your drone sounds happier! 😁😁😁

Many thanks Captain for posting; there did seem to be a slight drop in the sound pitch of the MAS props; I managed to get my new 3Pro in the air today (after a "false" start with the first one I purchased!!) and its very quiet when there is no wind; just picks up a few Dbs when fighting the gusts!!!
Just got my first dji mini 3 pro last week from Best Buy. I almost bought the mini 2 because I didn't know that dji came out with a newer mini drone that was on the display right next to the mini 2. The new mini 3 pro has all the check mark on my list in terms of feature I been wanting so I oughted for new mini 3 pro over the mini 2. It's very quiet and above all it has all the features I wanted in a compact mini drone.

On my Mini 2 SE they definitely sound better with a lower pitch but on my Mini 3 Pro I think the DJI props sound better

Purchase these Props, however 2 x screws broke, 1 screw thread stuck in Prop Holder, Screw Head appears weaker than Original DJI had to send Drone to DJI for repair, as unable to retrieve thread of screw. So be ware, no excessive force used, and original DJI screwdriver used. Have also contacted MA, waiting on response. Had MA before for my other drones, and had no issues.
I confirm the low quality of the screws. I broke 3 just by unscrewing them. I've never had any problems with the original screws. Unfortunately there is no possibility to remove them and I had to change 2 rear arms! The props are still valid

Now very sceptical of purchasing MA props for the Mini 3 Pro, MA have now indicated to me that the latest version of the Prop screws have been fixed, strengthened ! Currently not taking any risk and staying with the original DJI Props. Damaged Propeller motor has been replaced. Will wait a while if I decide to purchase Props from MA. Props for my other DJI Drones from MA have not been an issue.

These props show that DJI outdone themselves with the Mini 3 because the props doesn't make it any better in term of performance. Master Airscrew's advertising materials can't claim an actual number of X minutes more flight time, the sound pitch to me isn't any better. However, these props actually look very cool.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 i think @LuongMga means is that that extra minute is irrelevant, also within error tolerance, but at least they are ON-PAR and not negative performance so it makes sense to advertise that fact, even if saying +1 minute is silly

Only benefit these have is the color. Really wish DJI would do colored, the official DJI props are much nicer quality.
Thanks for the test, however can you use any decible meter App to check the different in sound level at the same distance? So I don;t have to do it. LOL But like to know which is quieter?

I just got a couple of sets. I've been waiting for MAS to release their M3P stealth props. I'd be interested to see how they perform. Right now I am flying with some off-brand carbon fiber props from ebay. Those have actually been great. Heavier than OEM but they perform better too.

Super simple installation because you take the 8 included props and match them to the 8 existing props (you see 4 props face one direction, and the other 4 face another direction). Or, you can have a look below the video to the installation guide for beginners.
because of this video. I purchased master airscrew props. In a year of owning a mini2 I broke 1 prop. On the 3 rd flight with the master air screws. I nicked peace’s out of 3 of them. It still flys. They are very hard that makes them brittle. Not sure I’ll buy again.
One thing, every Mini 3 owner needs a REAL screwdriver. These screws are ridiculously tight. Nice review, Captain.
I've taken the props on and off so many times that the screws come off and go on easy now
I wish you showed the difference between the OEM screws and the ones supplied with the new propellers. The web page says they have blue thread locker applied. My factory screws were difficult to remove, even with a proper screwdriver. One was so tight, I had to use pliers after using a Dremel to remove some material so I could get a proper grip with the pliers.

Funny how they call them "stealth" props and promptly make them in fluorescent colours. 😆 They do look good, though.
I can see some ethical considerations, but maybe the "dog test" should become part of your standard repertoire!
Please do a test with these props in the front and the regular props on the back if there’s anything different! I just wondering if you damaged the original props and don’t have four replacement props so you can still fly with the suggested configuration
You can only fly with all MASTER AIRSCREW props or all DJI PROPS, you can't mix and match or else you'll get vibrations.
The mas sounds high pitched like a drill and makes the dji look toyish compared to its refined look! And this might invalidate your warranties

Did you test sports mode with Plus battery or Go Pro? I heard motor overload alart will pop up when sports mode is used with plus (heavy) battery. I'm interested in whether this issue is solved by Master Airscrew.
The plus battery is not used by many because it places the drone over 250 grams and thus makes it become subject to government regulations in many countries.
Hey! Do these props provide any more lift power since the pitch is changed? I like strapping a GoPro to the top and wondering if it's improved. It's not terrible right now but I'm interesting in these. Would it make a difference, worse or better?
The props are more efficient, i.e., they spin slower. Not sure about increase lifting power. If there was then MAS would have mention that acending is increased with the props.
Logically, I would expect a lower frequency sound to indicate a lower speed of rotation. Also, quieter should mean more efficient, as less energy is wasted producing sound.

i would say both sets of props have the same decibels and as for 1m more you wouldnt know ill stick with the original props.
I have one of the screws on my drone stripped. Any recommendations as to how to get it off for an installation of a new prop?
That means the screwdriver you were using was not the correct one (the end of the screwdriver did not have enough grip). Not really sure how to get a super tiny stripped screw out other than drilling it out, but if you are off on drilling then you'll damage the threads. Hopefully someone has a suggestion.

Selling this drone and building FPV drones was the best decision I have ever made in regards to this hobby. You can basically build a better version of it for half the price.
Under 250g? The main advantage being the weight allowing it to be flown without approval in many European countries.

I tried the carbon ones from aliexpress, they vibrate enough to interfere with the video. ordered a set of these, cant wait till they arive here in New Zealand.

Hello guys! I would really like to try out these bright props, unfortunately i am not able to unscrew the original ones. They tightened as f..k, any tips from experienced community? I bought better screwdriver but it doesnt really help me.
If you have the wrong bit on your screwdriver, then you'll just strip them. I used a typical hobby set of screwdrivers with no issue. While holding the drone arm in your hand you just provide downward force as you turn the screwdriver counter clockwise.
I couldn't hear the difference because of the butterfly in the distance.
I don't know why you'd want to make the M3P any quieter than it already is. I have excellent hearing, but I can't hear mine when it's more than thirty-five yards away. As for the one minute improvement in efficiency, that's something that's very hard to reproduce in real world situations. Further, DJI knows a tremendous amount about drone propeller design. If they thought that cantilevered rotors were a great idea in the long run, then every DJI drone would have cantilevered rotors.
What micro SD card do you recommend to fully capture the potential of this drone?
A U3 micro Sd by Sandisk or Lexar

You would have to check the MASTER AIRSCREW website.
On the mini2, the screws didn't have enough loctite on them and one blade nearly went off during a flight (fell of the drone just a sec after landing). Screws are also starting to rust after 6months, if you use MAS props, keep the DJI screws with their loctite, they are way better and safer
I like them better but your right like every 2 or 3 flights master airscrew starts to come loose
@@edwardmoody4180 we need to be careful with these props. I bought a mini 3 yesterday because my mini 2 fell from the sky after a master airscrew prop came loose 🤷🏽
It fell from 300+ feet and I had to walk 2 miles in deep woods to recover it. The camera was destroyed.
@@theurbanartist775 this is something i consider when thinking about changing stock props - how does warranty work when you modify a critical component? Personally I think I would leave the stock blades, maybe paint them, but I do like how visible the MAS blades are
