When Viego put her into the water (spoiler for Viego's lore ahead) she came to life again as a wraith and stabbed Viego through his heart with his own blade.

That weapon looks like a Zweihänder, a two-handed sword that was used by heavily armoured soldiers to fight pikemen in close combat formations. It´s also rumoured ( but it never was its primary use, in fact, Zweihänder should have been vulnerable to cavalry ) to have been able to cleave off a horse head in a single strike. It was mainly used for trusting like a pike instead of slashing like a sword in wars though because of limitations to army formations.

Not the Ruined King but the Void. The Void and its creatures are the real threat to Runeterra. If you know Jax’s lore it is mentioned that he wanted to form a group of strong warriors to combat the Void.
Viego is just the first boss, like Loki. You still have other big threats like the Darkin’s return, the void and Mordekeiser. And of course there is Fiddlesticks and the demons who we don’t really know the threat level of yet outside of Ionia.

also, just wanted to point out that the gun's housing being loose is probably a reference to the previous cinematic where Lucian stabbed Thresh's lantern with it edit: I rewatched the Shadow's Embrace cinematic again just to make sure ...and it was actually the other gun he used to stab the lantern. woops, sorry Necrit.
P.S. maybe the reason why the Ruination didn't continue when Viego got the Queen's soul is because that's only "half" of the Queen, the other half is with Yorick as mentioned in Viego's voice lines (thanks SkinSpotlights). and the reason why there's no Draven nor Shyvana in the cinematic is because this was just the 1st wave, in Ruined Karma's lore, the Spirit of Ionia left Ionia, probably represented by the twin dragons on Karma's back when she resisted the Mist and then vanished, so when the 2nd wave happened Darha, the _avatar_ finally succumbed to the Ruination and in her skin the twin dragons were replaced by a mask/face in three pieces. and so, if a second wave were to happen then Yorick would have had to finally come into contact with Viego, right?. now this is just me speculating, but what if Riot decides to make the Ruined skins into "What if" skins kinda like how Blackfrost Anivia is, based on the outcome of Viego vs Yorick + everyone involved (Lucian, Senna, MF's TRK game gang, Maokai?). either way the Queen would still get *stitched* back together as a champion, so to move the lore forward, Yorick will have to say bye to his ULT (duh) and get a similar treatment as GP for a rework.

My theory on the regional attacks: It's actually SENNA that's seeing these visions through the queen. It might be showing what Viego intends to do, kind of like showing his queen his plans beforehand, so it makes sense that the "attacks" stop when senna becomes separated from the queen, because Senna can no longer see what Viego intends.
If the attacks were only visions, why would we have scenes of karma, Darius and Samira, and vayne and poppy winning and recovering from the attacks. This shows that the attacks actually happened and the attacks actually stopped, all IRL. Also, senna doesn’t know samira, Darius, poppy etc etc, meaning she wouldn’t see them fighting the mist, and even winning against it (in karma, poppy and vayne’s case)
If the visions are what Virgo intends. There wouldn’t be parts where the mist is fought back successfully, since he doesn’t intend for there to be successful resistance.

My theory on the regional attacks:
It's actually SENNA that's seeing these visions through the queen. It might be showing what Viego intends to do, kind of like showing his queen his plans beforehand, so it makes sense that the "attacks" stop when senna becomes separated from the queen, because Senna can no longer see what Viego intends.
I like that idea.
If the attacks were only visions, why would we have scenes of karma, Darius and Samira, and vayne and poppy winning and recovering from the attacks. This shows that the attacks actually happened and the attacks actually stopped, all IRL. Also, senna doesn’t know samira, Darius, poppy etc etc, meaning she wouldn’t see them fighting the mist, and even winning against it (in karma, poppy and vayne’s case)
If the visions are what Virgo intends. There wouldn’t be parts where the mist is fought back successfully, since he doesn’t intend for there to be successful resistance.

After all Vayne herself is using magic to go invisible, that would be pretty hypocritical of her to use magic to kill all magic.

I mean their names alone: Viego (which is basically Diego) and Isolde. Also Viego's spanish accent and riot teasing him as a "romantic", really pushes the vibe. This whole thing saved his design for me and im actually kinda fine with how he looks.

And Viego is trying everything to bring back a dead person while Mordekaiser is dragging people into the realm of the dead to make himself an army. They are the opposite sides of the coin, Mordekaiser is all about death while Viego tries to avoid it by any means possible.
So Morde would probably mock the shit out of Viego for being a pussy.
