Damn straight! That's what we all need. We know what to do yet somehow we get fooled in to thinking that we need to be "taught" what to do next. Less social media + wasting time on the Internet... more doing.

+Jayden Lawson G! That's so true! You literally have just described me! It's so sad :( I've read so many self-help books and watched various motivational/inspirational TH-cam videos, but at the end of the day I always feel doubtful and think I need to learn what to do next. Just need to do it. Thanks! :-)

Gulalai Shah yes. Plus it's easier to find like minded encouragers on the internet versus real life. In real life people are too distracted and busy to have real conversations to find like mindedness for fellowship. I'm not gonna complain about it I'm just gonna be thankful for wisdom & inspiration I find when I seek.

Something about the way you present your ideas has changed my way of thinking and turned me into a being that has an absolute thirst for knowledge. I am more motivated than i have ever been in the past and it has really changed my lives: reading that is. Once i started reading i realized how much I love learning about just about everything there is to learn about. I just started reading "From the Shoulders of Giants" by Stephen Hawking and its crazy how little we, as individuals, know about past great people. All in all, thank you for inadvertently pushing me to become a great person. I'm gonna make it because of you. Thanks Tai.

I love your point about tipping vs time. You can always make more money, but you can't ever get that time back. I have always tipped 25%-50% and every now and then for excellent service I have tipped people 100%, and do that once a year at Christmas anyway since other people always need the money more than I do. I realized your point the other night at dinner where my wife and I go every Friday night. We have seats saved for us and the night we got there on prom night and the restaurant was full, except for our seats. Others were waiting an hour and half for a table but not us, our seats were waiting. We also got our drinks first, our food came out before any of the other people sitting at the bar. But we got to enjoy a nice 90 minute dinner and one-on-one time with my wife and we were leaving as the couple waiting for a table for the 90 minutes since we got there finally were being seated. How much is that time worth to you? The extra money in tip is always worth the better service and the time we save.

    • @aly8848
      @aly8848 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I am a big tipper too, 50% few times. If I were that couple who waited 90 minutes, I would had made a reservation next time so not to have to wait.

    • @GordonMiller
      @GordonMiller 8 ปีที่แล้ว

aly 884 everyone waiting had a reservation they were just that backed up and that busy. If people stay longer than projected or the kitchen gets backed up even if you have a reservation you can still end up waiting 90 minutes in this place.

    Hello tai,
My name is Hector Carlos Avila. I am a 18 year old High School student who has recently been viewing your work. I have to say that you are really a true philosopher. You helped me realize that smoking and being down in the debt part of the pyramid isn't where you can find true happiness. After a week of pure dedicating my time to learning ways to become a better person, I have been able to help others gain a better understanding of what they can really be in life if they just stop procrastinating and go out and do what they want. I am going to a seminar in Twin Falls ID, for a Marketing seminar on the 19th of May to find company owners to become my mentors. Here i have provided you my answers for your questions.
    1. my end goal is to be able to help give back to my community by being able to help those who are not at the best financial state to be able to succeed, as well as being able to open my own charity to help the homeless families, people, and/or poor students with food.
    2. not spending so much time with the people that are below me in knowledge and the community i am in. i want to be able to have the access to have more mentors in my life that live closer to me.
    3. i want to read more. I am really good at talking to others, I give them tips on how not to go through what I had to go through. I was heavily involved with smoking marijuana, and everyone in my school is starting to do those things. I want to be able to make a change in my community to help them realize that they are spending too much time of their lives around people who are going to end up scraping for money to satisfy their drug needs. I want to make an impact to those who are willing to understand what i have to say. That is something I want to do with reading more books about psychology.
The crazy thing is, that i want to become a psychologist and I have already helped others get a better understanding of the world with my story. With what i had to say. I am a person who is humble and is was willing to get hurt just to help others. and i think i was wasting my time. Maybe you could help me out and give me some personal tips on how i could better myself

I watch many of our videos, and you are phenomenal. What you teach is phenomenal. I lean a lot from you, and I make sure to spend time each day to learn a bit from you. These videos are fantastic, thank you!To answer your questions, my end goal is to become the next youngest version of a Tony Robbins, sharing knowledge, inspiring people, and changing lives, (especially for other teens and youth). My main frivolous activity that I waste my time on is going on my phone, or using electronics for pointless reasons. Lastly, the biggest thing I can do to improve my philosopher side is to read more.

But when it’s wasted in heles luxury and spent on no good activity we are forced to last by death to realize it has been passed away before we knew it was passing. So it is…”

I think it would be awesome to meet all of you, maybe even come together and help each other achieve our goals and dreams. The people that you surround yourself with affects and contributes to the progress you seek. I'm sure many of you have some sort of Social Network account for example; Facebook, Email, IG etc. If anyone would like to come together and maybe create a group on Facebook where we can discuss these types of things and possibly meet, that would be awesome.

Tai I am on your 67 steps program In one of your tutorial you have mentioned this book and recommended to read it. Honestly the title of this book says many things "On the Shortness of Life" . I immediately got this book and trust me its amazing it has changed many things in my Life. In your this video those 8 points which you have discussed is really changed many things in me as a person and I am getting results. Reading good books is very important in life. I was lazy of reading books don't know why but during my 67 step journey I realised my biggest mistake of Life of not Reading books, I sincerely thank you very much. What Schools and Universities is not teaching which you are teaching "A real essence of life" being self taught is really cool. I wish you all the very best in your Goals you are the coolest person. God bless you.

I want to be financially free to travel, help those in need and enjoy exploring the world. I'm spending way too much time "thinking" of what to do instead of just doing. I've been having this surge of urge that something needs to be done. What? I don't know, everything I've done since it started has not been enough. Thus the deep thinking. What is IT. Watching your vids are helping me to reel in and get some grounding to make progress. I've started reading rich dad poor dad. My end game?
-Change the world. By means of Engineering, Music, and Love.
What am I wasting my time doing?
-Watching TH-cam videos. Thinking and not doing.
What could make me more of a philosopher?
-I am an avid philosopher. I constantly think about life to a point where it almost hinders my ability to act. That being said however, I could always read more.
Thank you for your videos and your questions. I do not know your true intentions but I believe they are benign. I like your view on money, however the current monetary system is a farce, and should not be encouraged in my opinion. I think a public note needs to be introduced as Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy did, and the value of these notes and the amount of notes should be based off of population and resources. The best way in my opinion to do this is to stop using federal reserve notes. I agree that currency is "freedom units", but the federal reserve notes are nothing but debt which can never be paid back. Interest is a scam, banks are thieves, and governments are bullies. No matter how you sugar coat it this seems true, though I could be wrong.
It is my end game to change that by making resources plentiful by means of technology (which is already being done), but not slowing down production because the price of the product being sold is getting lower. That's agood thing! Resources are true wealth. Not currency. In the current system we restrict production to maintain value. Whenever something needs done they say "where's the money going to come from"? We don't need money to do anything! We need people and natural resources! There's 7 billion people on earth and contrary to popular belief and unlimited amount of resources (if we use the right ones).
Needless to say, we can do a lot better. Everyone can be living "the life". Each person has to work hard yes, but first they have to have that opportunity. We're blessed with opportunity. Even me who dropped out at 16 and has no job atm. I have all the opportunity I could ask for, but many people don't have the opportunity to do anything and that's the biggest injustice there is.
I choose change by first not participating in the current system. Second by embodiment of the change I want to see. Third by finding a way that works for me, and can work for everyone. No matter what financial status, faith, or political party you identify with.
I do believe though that identifying with things only gives one the illusion that they know who they are, and I am antagonistic of that way if thinking. In my opinion, it is more beneficial to embody certain values by living them, but not identify with anything specific.
At the end of the day, as far as I know, No one really knows what reality is. So I don't think it's beneficial to cling to your personal perception of it. But rather recognize truthfully the conditions of "reality" without flattering ones ego by thinking they know something absolutely. There is no obtainable objectivety through the human experience. It not seem like it but that may be a good thing, but who knows?
Again thank you for your videos and I hope your able to help many people, and are able to ignite more critical thinking in more people.
    Take care,
    Bryce

My end game goal is to become an executive for a high profile company and further it by eventually becoming an entrepreneur. All while being a public speaker and a humanitarian, i believe that my purpose in life is to help others become the best version of themselves and help them realize that unity, compassion and equality is the way forward.
I want to donate my wealth, time and energy into making this world a better place, one step at a time.
I currently have no bad habits that i can think of, i try to be as productive and efficient as possible every single day.
I am currently starting to read my only second book ever, its "Unlimited Power" By Anthony Robbins(The Life Coach you've probably heard of). I love it and i read it out loud whenever i have alone time just to emphasize the meaning of the words written.
Once i finish that book, my next one will be Malcom X Autobiography by Alex Haley. I have recently begun taking my productivity on a whole another level and step by step i can already see the change happening.
I already have a blog that i write on every single day, it's all my thoughts and ideas on motivation and philosophy, life advises and many other things. Totally worth to check out at nationofsuccess.blogspot.com

One bring heaven to earth or world peace. Two teach the truth and use of spirituality. Three open the doors of the universe for those in need of existing realms to achieve pure serenity.

One thing I hate is that you're shut down a 33.3% of your life, as in, if you were to live 90 years you've spent 30 years sleeping, 30 freaking years of not living life! is ridiculous.
If we were to modify our body and brain nature to just need 2hrs of sleep instead of 8hrs we'd technically have increased our life span.

    • @FeiLingTseng
      @FeiLingTseng 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

+giorgiomx Sounds like you're being greedy... sleep will remind you that you need time to do the essential things properly, like sleep, eat, hydrate... without allocating time to the most important things to nurture life, how can you be expected to do so in other areas of your life?

    • @giorgiomx
      @giorgiomx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fei-Ling Tseng
??, just cheap marketing from your part, I can do better: use the time saved from sleeping to do "non-greedy" things or whatever you're referring to here, and ...while being awake.
The rest of your comment doesn't make sense, sorry:
      _"Sleep will remind..."_
Well how about not needing a reminding?, or at least 33% of your life, right?
_"without allocating time to the most important things to nurture life"_
By sleeping on it?, as in, being unconscious?, as in, not doing them?
Remember... 33% of your life of not doing anything, not even think consciously.

Well, yes, in regards to ...living your life, being asleep is like not being alive or not existing for 8hrs each day.

Let me just note, that doing something that you enjoy that others might find frivolous isn't a waste of time. Ultimately we do have a short life span. So anything that brings you joy, whether it be drawing, writing, etc. Is NOT a waste of time. If you feel compelled to do something then do it.
I feel like everybody thinks that they have to be the next bill gates or steve jobs in order to be successful.
But if your goal is something more humble like getting your kids to college or getting out of debt or simply getting a better job then that time is NOT wasteful. Everyone has their own ideas of what success is. You can be a success in your family, community, department, whatever. As long as it makes you happy. Success does not need to be determined by how much money you make. Success is what you make of it.
So all in all configure your life to what YOU want in life so YOU are happy. That's what matters here.

I'm not sure everyone feels the need to be Bill Gates etc to prove to themselves that they are successful. Success in anyone's eyes should be achieving the goals that one sets out to achieve. What Seneca wanted to say was that we have enough time to achieve our goals but we spend so much of our it procrastinating and messing around that we stress about not having enough time to achieve them.
The point is to prove to yourself that you are spending your time achieving your success, not success in the eyes of others.

I love the inspiration I get from each of your videos. I'm so grateful for the motivation that you put daily in my life. Here are my goals.
1.(End Goal) Become a true Disciple of Christ by..
    2. Avoiding video games and eliminating laziness by not planning too much and learning to manage my thoughts and goals to act more efficiently and..
    3. Making time to read more often.
You have reminded me of a scripture..
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that waverth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."
    -James 1:5-6
I personally believe that we all have a loving Heavenly Father who wants to bless us and all we have to do is ask. When we take time to meditate and listen to those good thoughts that bring us peace and joy we can have confidence to then act. I learned an important lesson from our beloved prophet, President Thomas S. Monson from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that when God speaks and man obeys that man will always be right.
Again I am grateful for your advice and it is always up lifting, and I hope as another brother in this world that I can share with you a little inspiration from myself.

kaboriginal You mean what if the universe and your place In it were a constantly shifting whole and the only way to fit in is to constantly shift. To flow like a river, bend like a reed in the wind, eternally surf the breaking wave. It will never catch on.

Maybe it's like Steve Jobs said in his commencement speech. You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking back. Sometimes doing the wrong thing is preparation for doing the right thing. I think the advise given in the earlier response is good advise.

Great video tai! Since you asked the questions, 1. I am currently in school and will apply to a graduate Physician Assistant program 2. Sleep 3. I think attending conferences or seminars would be best for me.
I don't know how often or IF you even check these but, how do you be frugal with time when you have no time to be frugal with? I'm currently working 2 jobs, one full time the other part time, and going to school. I don't spend a lot of time going out or watching tv. At most, I'm on my phone at before bed.

Tai you're very generous bringing this info for free for the greater good. I have to admit when I fist saw your "here in my garage" video, I assumed it was a get rich quick type scheme. Now that I have watched your videos I know you are a good person that helps others. Thank you very much

8 reasons you haven't accomplished your goal:
      1. Greedy activity
      2. Dedication to useless tasks
      3. Drinking or drugs
      4. Laziness
      5. Worrying what others think
      6. Self imposed servitude to thankless people
      7. Pursing other people's money or worrying about your own
      8. Going after no fixed goal, tossed about in ever changing plans by a fickleness which is shifting.

Vi Nguyen don't waste time with things that have no substance/don't mean anything to your final goal. that's summarized the whole thing pretty much 😂 just spend your time in the right way, down to the seconds wasted lying in bed trying to get up.

If science could allow humans to get the equivalent of a full night's sleep in the period of one hour the extra length of time we are actively awake and alive would be incredible. This would add decades to our lives. I mean we would still be alive for the same amount of time but we would be awake and outside actively living for so much longer.
Imagine if edison or hawking had all this extra time to live and think.
