thank u man. i have been getting stuck in the muck of list making that never gets done. it really does create endless mind loops that have plagued me. recently iv been looking at tons of well known mentor minds...but most are about making list. I loved u saying what i deep down already knew. Do it now...im not promised tomorrow. thank u. and im sharing this. Now!!!
I to am a slave to lists and over energetic organisation resulting in a poor outcome and wasted time. watching these talks every day is helping me to change.
Here is the verse you referenced near the beginning: "Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men."- Proverbs 22:29 ---- Thanks for sharing this insight, Tai !
Andy Loewen Yeh this guy is decent. I'm gonna have to stop procrastinating because I'm doing an engineering degree next year. Got the summer off though so gonna do some reading and maybe think about starting a business... Don't know where to start though!
In property management, being organized and having a task list is like needing water for survival. Especially in New York City. I do lists because I forget things and in this business you need to be detailed. I’m not behind the desk all the time and on the field you need to write down your task to complete or you will simply forget or not be detailed. Also a list allows me to space out my time for knocking out priority items first and minor items last. I agree with most of what he is saying with regards to having the sense of urgency to have everything done on the spot.
Look, I read Keller's book "The One Thing" but I got more from you talking here than the book! Your talk has struck me and has stuck with me. I was raised and trained in jobs to make lists and plug in scheduled events in calendars... While I've done a lot, I NOW know for a FACT, that lists have overwhelmed me and caused 99.9% of the procrastination in my personal life! I'm a different man now than I was 23:46 minutes ago! THAT VIDEO WAS AWESOME!!!
I'm like u man, lists lists lists, maybe just to bluff myself that I'm working or productive. I realize it's just mental masturbating, this list-making business. Let's go!
+Jerry Lentz If you read Keller's book, how come you don't point to the fact that she didn't *lose* her sight and hearing? She was born deafblind. Tai didn't read the book, that is obvious.
I'm Up For The 5 Day Challenge I'm Gonna Work On My Health From This Very Minute And On The Many Things That Was On My List Till Now....Thank U For Being So Inspiring Tai...
Hey Tai thanks for being my mentor. Just going through your videos. So much value. I just found you and everything you say I get and it has taken me 5-7 years of learning from people like you. I'm not where I want to be, but nothing is going to stop me. I have great visions of helping this world. Our paths will cross one day. Wish you the best man. You will achieve great things.
Sticking points: -getting over my approach anxiety in pickup (there are day by day desensitization programs that I have procrastinated in starting) -looking into what graduate program I'm going to after getting my undergraduate -cleaning up my diet
Thank you Tai awesome and I am taking your advice and started working on my book Lessons of Joy from the Philippians!!! Rejoice always!!! See you on the mountain!!!!!
Thank you I was drowning in my to do 's. It felt like I couldn't take action because there were so many and I didn't know where to start. I will take the challenge NOW!!!!
Hey Tai, you might wanna hear this: Gelassenheit in German means the state of being relaxed or at ease, more in the sense of serenity. You mean the noun for being humble, which is actually Bescheidenheit. You seem like the kinda guy who cares about details so I just thought I'd let you know, as a German. Thanks for the talk, it helped a lot and you made some convincing points, as always. Which is why I wrote this comment right now, not later. Cheers, Niklas
***** Yes, I just found out about this yesterday, when a friend told me she had visited the Amish and that she was able to talk to them in our own German accent the German Palatinate Language. The Pennsylvania Dutch the Amish speak is almost the same, since the original immigrants came from the area where we live today.
+Niklas Goeke Hi tai! your videos have helped me a lot. I have trouble with structure in my day to day routine and I do daily stuff inconsistently, so I thought I would watch one video at least per day to get into the habit of things. I loved it that you made that language learning example. I tell people all the time if you are going to do it, start today. ありがとうございます。(thank you in Japanese) I wrote this comment today, not tomorrow. ;)
My lists do get out of hand. I'm gonna take the 5 days to start reading more and letting those ideas mix, as you said. I don't want to wait or only intend to do more; I'm gonna try to do it on the spot. Thank you! I like your insights!
I thought you'd like to know that this video literally brought me to tears. It was totally unexpected and I'm immensely grateful for it. I'm likely one of the most "stickable" people alive. My todo list is unwieldy and spread across multiple productivity apps and systems. It's gotten so bad that, occasionally, I abandon one and start on another when the list that I have starts to feel insurmountable and I end up spending DAYS recording, categorizing, and prioritizing all of the things that I need to do. I have no short-term memory, I have an abysmal attention span, and I routinely suffer from "analysis paralysis". (I was only recently, in my adult life, diagnosed with the "inattentive" type of ADHD. Medication helps to enable cognitive processes required for being an effective human being, but it obviously doesn't give any answers; it's only one small piece of the puzzle.) So, when I say that it felt like you were reaching out to me from the past through this video and speaking directly to me, I hope you believe it. I'm still reeling from the profound impact your words have had on me. All of the literature I've read and psychotherapy I've had with regard to being more effective, at the moment, feels worthless in comparison to what you've woken up in my mind. This current feeling--this mindset--is something that I hope does stick. You can be sure I'll continue to watch, listen to, and read your words to help me remember what it is that I have to do to live the life that I want to live--finally! Thank you!
This video really hit me hard. I bumped into it so randomly and I feel I really needed to hear it. My life has been stagnant these past few years. I'm alive and I'm grateful but I'm not happy. My whole life is me procrastinating to the point of never getting things done and now feeling lost. I am starting this challenge with waking up early tomorrow, rewatching this video and stretching. I will allow my day to flow after making sure Im not sucking my thumb!!
I'll sign up for these trainings happening in 2 weeks, TODAY. I'll find & reserve the room in Moscow for my new English Conversation Club, TODAY. I'll contact that client who said my classes were too expensive & negotiate a lower win-win price, TODAY I'll try out Tai's "skim" reading with three books in one day. I'll email the placement test & schedule a test lesson for my other new client, TODAY. Thanks for your selfless service and for the strong inspiration, Tai!! 🤗🏆
Never heard about simply not making a list , at first it sounds silly , but what a hell ... Those lists never worked for me any way! I'll give it a shot!
Your suppose to make a list. This is only for things than can you do immediately like replying to an email. However tasks that must be done in a particular order or can not be done immediately should be listed. List should be for the day by the way. If you have lists for the month - that is stupid lol. Also write your goals everyday!
I like making list because I feel like I get all my tasks off my brain but then don’t get them done! And I usually put off thing a that can be done today for tomorrow! Definitely doing this 5 day challenge. How did not makings list go?
been wanting to wake up early in the morning so i can get more studying done.. Thanks Tai 🙌 going to bed right now good night. . Tai lopez has me focused more and more everyday hes a great motivator/mentor
Every video I watch I always feel as if you are talking directly to me. All these things I have been doing my entire life are being brought to life and I'm seeing how to change this. The cognitive loading really speaks to me, circumstances have lead me to see a therapist and this is the one thing that I always want to bring up is how I make so many lists but feel too overwhelmed to get things done. This is really clearing it up and I am so grateful I decided to continue watching your ad before my seemingly important TH-cam video I was watching. Your talks are going to change my life. Even if it's only in the smallest ways right now it starts with these little actions. Thank you so much for putting up these videos is what I'm trying to say lol.
Hi tai. aside from the car which is the only reason i came. I have been watching your videos. I just wanted to say thank you because they have been helping.
5 day challenge accepted! Top 5 things I have been putting off: 10 minute morning meditations, getting to bed by 10:30, reading 15mins a day, creating a genuine life audit, daily exercise. Time to kick my ass into gear!
I have been lagging with my backpain, bulging disc and deep muscles aren't responding. I have just started training my back daily again, thanks to your videos. This pain has limited my life for 4 years now and I really do wish that it could be fixed today or even in 5 days. Sadly, that's not realistic. Had to quit college because the pain is too much, and add to that some bones from my leg cracked due to a mistake in parkour. I will keep at it tho, and hope the pain would finally subside.
I hesitate on making decisions and allow them to pile up. I may have just realized this is my cause of procrastination. I make tons of lists but almost never get everything done on them. Sounds like a new experiment!
I need to take action to understand GODs word, working out, studying my charts and certs more religiously, reading my book and letting people know appreciate and love them.
I love what Tai said in a snap about procrastination. Jump into a task and avoid overanalyzing! Together with keep your life in perspective. Think about people, who in war, were tortured for years and survived. What do we have to be afraid of? Nothing... So go do your thing!! :D Loved this video!
finding a mentor, speaking to college coaches, creating better relationships with my friends and family, find ways to add more value to peoples lives, training harder, reading and studying more efficiently
thank you again Tai! funny thing is that 3 days ago I started on the one thing which had troubled me for years that I never fully focused on to overcome. I gave it half ass attempts with my intentions being scattered about but all happens for a reason. through those years I aquired many pieces of what I needed to make an all out effort now and have dedicated the next month to solely that task. great reinforcement video brother! Blessings
LOVE this!! I need to work on this tons! Anyways, I'm gonna commit to whenever a thought pops into my head of something I gotta do...I'm gonna do it immediately, if at all possible, if not schedule a specific time to do it and move on. I can think of a ton of things already. Firstly, Tai talked about leaving a comment, I wasn't even gonna do that...but I thought what the heck...yes I am!! I'm always thinking I gotta filter my emails...gonna do that right now. Need to start working out...gonna do that. Need to start eating healthy...gonna do that. Need to start juicing...gonna do that. Need to start my own business...gonna do that. Gonna be like Nike, and Shia and JUST DO IT!! Thanks Tai...great stuff! The sucking your thumb visualization was very powerful...because I'm literally acting like a baby when I do that. POWERful...thanks again!
Good timing to hear this Tai. My wife has come up with a similar motto. "GET ON WITH IT GARBE". Works for me. As you also said, 'Reach the top with planning and execution'. So sad how so many people only live half a life.
Small things: I need to prioritize sleep during school days I need to be more time efficient and be more disciplined Big things: I need to read up a couple of big chapters day by day for Chem I need to review concepts for physics and just do practice problems I need to read 2 books I need to schedule my internships I need to hopefully reform my dopamine receptors in the goal of increasing ambition (this last semester I failed myself in the sense that my grades were not to my expectations of all A’s like before, and my transition to different high schools has really killed my passion and self motivation, leading to my decrease in ambition and my lack of care for school.) but from small steps and success I will develop this ambition.
Tai Lopez kinda reminds me of Brendon Burchard who had read more than 1,000 books throughout his lifetime. Obviously, he knows something most so-called "motivational gurus" don't. Wisdom, knowledge, simulation and imagination certainly ranks at the top with this new-age "maverick thinker". Definitely in the same league as great thinkers such as Voltaire, Einstein, Gandhi and Da Vinci. After all, great minds think alike don't they? ;)
I used to follow a mentor who once said that "If you want to be successful, you have to switch-off your financial anxiety." Now, most of my struggle is to free some space in my attic by eliminating financial worries in order to be more productive. It's not easy most of the time. I quit watching TV and reading news papers for more than a decade , what I love doing is to read (and re-read) a good book. I found out that the satisfaction and benefits I can reap are numerous. Thanks Tai for confirming such a strong feeling that I always had since school days.
I have a coding assignment at college. I have been putting off because I have 3 weeks until the deadline. But it is always at the back of my mind. I will complete it today. It's hard but I'm gonna focus and get it done :D Thanks Tai!!
Try "chunking" it. When you have a big project like that, it's overwhelming to your mind especially if you dread doing it. Immediately say to yourself you're only doing to work on it for 20 minutes. Set a timer. Then make yourself sit down and do it. Don't spent time organizing, getting coffee, setting up your workspace, etc. set your timer and sit down and start. You can do anything for 20 minutes. Once you start, most of the time you'll go longer than 20 minutes. Never go shorter.
All of my school work gets done very last minute. Like ill admit it's became an issue. For example this one time i had a paper due the next day started it at 10 at night and finished 5 in the mourning. It was about 7 pages in total of pure writing. For things I don't want to do it usually takes me so much effort in trying to do it. I'm going to knock off few of the things required for me to do over my break now and start applying this hopefully to be habit.
My stickabillty factor is 10 I need to get stuff done. I'll start preparing for my exam. I'll clean my room Answer Emails/messages when they come. And paying my bills when I get them. And many other stuff... I'm crossing my fingers 😁
One area that I have been lagging in is getting things done that I set out to do--especially things that are in line with my Eularean Destiny. Some things get done, but other things like working on my TH-cam project, gets shoved to the side.
How should we deal with priorities then? If you just jump to do things that comes to your mind just because you don't want to make a priority list, you might deviate from your more important tasks which you must do but might have less tendency to do because they are more boring, more difficult...
I doubted you after seeing you in a TH-cam ad, thought you'd be like 6packshortcuts - selling random shit. But this was actually very useful advice and I'm going to implement the things I learned......tomorrow. Just kidding! Thanks.
I need to sleep early I need to learn music theory I need to buy clothes I need to take out the trash I need to apply what I learn I need to make a phone call
I've followed this trick for a week and in that time I worked a railroad job to save some money, got a job in education I wanted, and used my money to buy my first car. Thanks Tai. One week down, many more to make it lifetime habit. :)
I have not been focusing myself on my dreams enough. And I also have not been focusing myself on becoming more positive and efficient enough. As well as not getting enough things done to bring me closer to my goals. :)
Going to write a thank you note to a mom of a friend of mines. They took me in when I had nowhere to stay. I was living out of my truck no bed, no shower, no food. She bakes and cooks everyday nonstop. And thank you ***** for giving grate advice.
Hey Tai... I actually did purchase your program 67 steps and joined the VIP, One thing I've been lagging that I'm going to start picking up on again is actually Starting the program... I've heard the first couple f videos but I haven't started applying it to my Life. I hereby commit to start today with the 1st step, and follow the 67 steps in 67 days, I will keep you posted on my Progress. You're a God sent.
ok the question of the 1,000,000,000 is Tai Lopez do you really talk about how you went from $47 box in his bank account and sleeping on the couch to get a Lamborghini and Ferrari and a mansion in this and that. because I have $25 in my bank account and leaving the room of the size of a limousine a small limousine plus I have a 4 year old daughter that I have to take & pick up from school I have 8 hour job that helps with rent and bills i can even save $$$ to patent or even pay a ingenier for a few projects that i have going on. no support from anyone or anything lonely just me and my daughter. What do suggest Tai ? i want to be successful the same way once you were. Just like any body in this room watching you video. i ready to go to next level but is hard. Guys comment you can or want any POSITIVE WORD CAN HELP any ideas or suggestions .
+Stephen Sunday I think we ignore our "instincts" by looking for help on "how to get shit done", "How to learn faster", "How to be more focused", "10 books that lead yo to success", "5 ways to be more confindent", you get the point. Man I'm sick of that. It is an addiction, the worst of all mental addictions.
I'm going to stop smoking . and I will start today. thanks man. honestly.
Thirty Two lmao did ya?
My mind never accept quitting smoke. I'm bad..
Did you stop ?
thank u man. i have been getting stuck in the muck of list making that never gets done. it really does create endless mind loops that have plagued me. recently iv been looking at tons of well known mentor minds...but most are about making list. One of the most valuable video from Tai i ever seen
I’ve got so many lists it’s ridiculous. Today I start this 5 day challenge!
Hey Tai thanks for being my mentor. Just going through your videos. So much value. I just found you and everything you say I get and it has taken me 5-7 years of learning from people like you. Perfect advice for a distracted soul like mine!
I make lists all the time. I always felt like I get less things done when I make a long list ha ha. This makes a lot of sense.

I’ve been lagging in work completion. I consistently hand in assignments and break homework’s late. I will do the 5 day challenge.
Thank you so much for this video. More action = more results. Great advice as usual.

What im gonna do this five days is to give my very best at my job having iniciative and thinking faster.
I need to take action to understand GODs word, working out, studying my charts and certs more religiously, reading my book and letting people know appreciate and love them.
Cutting Edge Cool this 👌🏻👌🏻
Tai you are very crazy and an awesome mentor for every young person who want to change life.
1. Correspondence 2. Pay bills and make budget 3. Set up podcast
+Jason Downs What kind fo Podcase are ya doing Jason?
+Jason Downs what is your podcast about? or what would it be about?
I love what Tai said in a snap about procrastination. Jump into a task and avoid overanalyzing!
Together with keep your life in perspective. Think about people, who in war, were tortured for years and survived. What do we have to be afraid of? Nothing... So go do your thing!! :D
Loved this video!
finding a mentor, speaking to college coaches, creating better relationships with my friends and family, find ways to add more value to peoples lives, training harder, reading and studying more efficiently
First 5 minutes hit the nail on the head of what is wrong with the education system.
Need to study more and use my time wisely.
thank you again Tai! funny thing is that 3 days ago I started on the one thing which had troubled me for years that I never fully focused on to overcome.
I centralized 6 of my newest top 25 contacts and increased my consecutive pull up count by 1
What are your reading strategies? I think that would be a great video.
Good timing to hear this Tai. My wife has come up with a similar motto. "GET ON WITH IT GARBE". Works for me.
As you also said, 'Reach the top with planning and execution'. So sad how so many people only live half a life.
i need to studybfor my history of econ test friday.
i need to stop skipping class and i need to stop missing workouts
Small things:
I need to prioritize sleep during school days
I need to be more time efficient and be more disciplined
Big things:
I need to read up a couple of big chapters day by day for Chem
I need to review concepts for physics and just do practice problems
I need to read 2 books
I need to schedule my internships
I need to hopefully reform my dopamine receptors in the goal of increasing ambition (this last semester I failed myself in the sense that my grades were not to my expectations of all A’s like before, and my transition to different high schools has really killed my passion and self motivation, leading to my decrease in ambition and my lack of care for school.) but from small steps and success I will develop this ambition.
need to finish my coding course this week
I see, you've got the best book I ever read behind you. Poor Charlies Amanac !!! It's fucking amazing and I learned endless....
After all, great minds think alike don't they? ;)
Following my dream is what I put off most, thinking, "I'll do it when it's the right time"
this was a good video. thanks dude. eye opener!
I used to follow a mentor who once said that "If you want to be successful, you have to switch-off your financial anxiety."
Now, most of my struggle is to free some space in my attic by eliminating financial worries in order to be more productive. It's not easy most of the time.
I quit watching TV and reading news papers for more than a decade , what I love doing is to read (and re-read) a good book. I found out that the satisfaction and benefits I can reap are numerous.
Thanks Tai for confirming such a strong feeling that I always had since school days.
Fantastic advice, good gravy
I have this problem as well, I found that I needed to go that extra step that Tai was talking about and make times to do specific assignments.
My stickabillty factor is 10
I need to get stuff done.
I'll start preparing for my exam.
I'll clean my room
Answer Emails/messages when they come.
And paying my bills when I get them.
And many other stuff...
I'm crossing my fingers 😁
Wake up earlier, read and learn more about my passion skills, more sport.
I would like to thank you as i am 17 and trying to become a better person, just made a email so i could finally comment on your videos(in school rn)
I doubted you after seeing you in a TH-cam ad, thought you'd be like 6packshortcuts - selling random shit. But this was actually very useful advice and I'm going to implement the things I learned......tomorrow. Just kidding! Thanks.
Done this for a day now, and already feel so much better. Highly recommend this as a great reframe on taking action
I need to sleep early
I need to learn music theory
I need to buy clothes
I need to take out the trash
I need to apply what I learn
I need to make a phone call
woah, I feel like a read a poem. (-s-)
Daily progression attracting a more prosperous Healthy Happy Life.... Gradually🙏
Yo I gotta keep working on my book and not put it off for a few days lemme get on that rn
Make a lot of sense. I've got a folder of lists I want to get rid of / get through.
Your voice sounds like Denzel Washington :)
Rocky Balboa it sure does
silver lining sounds authoritative
Just listen without looking at him and you will notice.
O.o
+Tai Lopez man teach me how to become financially independent
I've followed this trick for a week and in that time I worked a railroad job to save some money, got a job in education I wanted, and used my money to buy my first car. Thanks Tai. One week down, many more to make it lifetime habit. :)
His name is Daymond John, the name of the company was FUBU.
I have not been focusing myself on my dreams enough.
And I also have not been focusing myself on becoming more positive and efficient enough.
As well as not getting enough things done to bring me closer to my goals. :)
Who did 10 jumping jacks right now?
+Jayden Lawson I did 45 jumping jacks, had the mindset to do 55 (my age). Well it is a start to get into shape...
+Brenda Jackman haha great work!! Do that at least once a day and you'll be back in to shape in no time!
Thank you for the encouragement Jayden Lawson. It is hard work phew! :)
wow you are so on! for me the procrastinator slow all by myself

Just like any body in this room watching you video.
i ready to go to next level
but is hard. Guys comment you can or want any POSITIVE WORD CAN HELP any ideas or suggestions .
Get a mentor.
I will improve on getting things done when I should.
Great video. It's amazing to me how we should know things our instincts have been telling us for years but we've been ignoring for years.
+Stephen Sunday I think we ignore our "instincts" by looking for help on "how to get shit done", "How to learn faster", "How to be more focused", "10 books that lead yo to success", "5 ways to be more confindent", you get the point.
Man I'm sick of that. It is an addiction, the worst of all mental addictions.
creating an effective schedule, starting a day of meeting with my fam on the regular, new podcast, set up studio, movie tickets.
