I enjoyed 🍒🍹very much this video with my children. In Japan so many students love Maestro Katsaris' s sounds 🎵🎶🎵 that please make some chance to visit JAPAN! Thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful opportunity💖💓 to know his history. Thank yyou very much TH-cam 💕
Thanks so much for posting this Melanie! Cyprien is my favorite contemporary pianist. I adore him and his interpretations. I would absolutely love to meet him and study, for even a short time with him!
What a wonderful personality Cyprien is.... reminds me of Rubenstein, just a love for life. It's inspiring to listen to him, just like his playing (and amazing contrapuntal abilities that Chopin performers often lack IMO)
I agree with the opinion over competitions--he is a very creative person and sometimes perfection is a possible limitation from developing your personal pianistic voice.
I stopped recording interviews a few years ago, partly because my camera was substandard. But also because it was really just a hobby - something I did in my spare time! Glad you have enjoyed them all.
His views regarding piano competitions is so right. I'm a fan of Katsaris from Philippines
One of the best pianists alive & yet so down to Earth. So many mediocre music professors could learn from his humbleness.
Thanks for making & posting!
He's so lovely, thank you for getting this inverview Miss Spanswick!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it.
Great Interview! Txs a lot! 🙏
Thank you!
Thanks for the interview, best wishes from México.
Katsaris is a great influence for me, he's a genius and so lovely person..

Really glad you enjoyed it!
He certainly is! It was great fun interviewing Cyprien :-)
that was really interesting interview! thanks a lot, stunning knowledge from Cyprien Katsaris!
Thanks Tom :-)
Thanks Aiden! It is quite echoy, but in this case it's caused by the room I think - when I film in venues with carpet etc, the quality is fine :-)

"...the great American philosopher L. Ron Hubbard", oh my!!
Oh, far greater than Wittgenstein. He's AMERICAN!!
So what? Et alors?
I completely agree with his opinion on contemporary music
Have watched all these interviews with pianists, i wouuld like to know if you plan to do anymore

Best performer of Liszt-Beethoven symphonies to me~:D
Gina Bachauer played Rach 3 in the 50s. But yes, certainly unusual.
very cool watch. Is there gonna be any more?
Thanks Carolina, here's the link to my whole series of interviews; Valentina Lisitsa in conversation with Melanie Spanswick
That's weird...I wonder why that happens on the iPhone?.....I don't have one so wouldn't know....thanks for letting me know though!
It's a Panasonic HC X900 and wasn't particularly cheap.......... :-)
Sorry Tim.....I only have an amateur camera at the moment.,......I do all this for fun so don't have funds for pro gear!
Moura Lympany played it in the 1950''s!, as did Gina Bachauer"
My last name is spanswick
Sorry but I'm not a professional - this isn't a BBC set up! I just turn up with a pretty expensive but nevertheless amateur camcorda and film......
