- A Tesla crashed into the face of a building Saturday morning leaving three dead and three others in the hospital in Pasadena. Anastassia Olmos reports for the NBC4 News on May 11, 2024.
To much car for an inexperienced driver. Very sad.

Were you never young?
That is horrible for the passengers and everyone's family of those who were involved. This was preventable, and the driver is solely responsible for the safety of everyone in their car. Generally, once the driver hits the 'go' pedal and is going super fast, the passengers can generally not do much but hold on for dear life.
They should invent additional brakes for the other passengers, so they can use the brakes, when the driver is going too fast! 😉
I remember those dumb days, when we would pile up 4 in the back of a little sedan and drive to our destination. Smh, was really stupid of us to do...

They were ejected? Didn't wear seat belts. Not an excuse not to wear a seat belt because there were "too many in the car." 3 were ejected- not just 1
Now is not the time to be saying this these kids are dead. They were all crammed into the back seat regardless there wasn’t enough seatbelts for them either way. Have some damn respect
You can break speed limits all day long, but you can never break the laws of physics.

Are we supposed to be sad? They know this they have a drivers license but they disregard and they want to be driving over the speed limit. They want to break the rules they want to test the limits. This is what happens.

No one is telling you to do anything. But if you are an actual human being you would. But when you are a perfect person who never made a mistake in life, I guess you won't. Powerful lesson, you make yourself a passenger in any mode of transportation, you put your life and the lives of all other passengers in the hands of the driver. Make sure they know this, and if you think they don't. Tell them.

The Chevy Bolt EV got 3 brakes instead of one and I use all three all the time. Teslas are too fast for beginners.

Some EVs have an acceleration that if you havent experienced it, you wouldnt believe it was possible. Especially the motorcycles.

@@sunnysider6350Probably. With some EVs its almost like folding space to accelerate from one point to another, and its easy. But when you arrive there, you have brought with you a high velocity that must be dealt with, and the brakes are just... brakes. You REALLY need to think things through to speed in or on one

I was T-boned by a driver who ran a red light. The other car missed my feet by a couple of feet, and yes I did do the left-right-left thing before entering the intersection on a green light.

Has anybody wondered why government regulators allow car manufacturers to make cars that go so fast and accelerate fast? I mean we have safety laws for all products. Shouldn't cars that go too fast be deemed unsafe just like an stroller that could harm a baby?

Tesla could enable the car to detect a dangerous behavior and force evasive actions since it’s able to drive and make decisions without a drivers input. This had to be a huge red flag based on this data. As a parent that could prevent a death but they would have to find a way to sell that feature. Parents could have set a limit on this driver assuming this is a teenager driving.

Notice how the reporter keep saying a Tesla instead of a vehicle like they do with other vehicle reports because of the word Tesla gets your attention makes a bigger story. The story should be a young driver crashes vehicle because he was st up id to speed.

More technology leads to less brains. Sorry but Tesla drivers are the new Prius drivers of yesterday. I won’t be surprised if in 10 years, studies show EVs cause some health hazard. I feel bad for the victims but have zero sympathy for the driver and all drivers who feel like they can drive like that. They don’t need to be on the road and unfortunately in this case, 2 innocent people died and 3 injured. Where were the police in this case? There’s 6 people in a car with max seat belts for 5. No police saw them at all? In Pasadena? I find that hard to believe.
Blame the rich parents. PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL, is about $25k a year or about $100k for the 4 years of HS. Cheers, congratulation graduate(s) of 2024. RIP now. 3 Lives, HOPEs flushed down the drain just like that.
