What is a countable noun?
What is an uncountable noun?
We look at when to use singular or plural verbs with these nouns.
We learn about the common types of uncountable nouns which include:
- abstract ideas
- liquids and gases
- things made of smaller parts
- materials
- food

Help! if chocolate is an uncountable noun and uncountable noun always uses singular verb. then saying "chocolate are good for our health." is wrong? googel uses "chocolate are"
Chocolate IS good for our health.
Chocolate is uncountable because it is in bulk form.it would be singular. As regards the reference you gave from Google, grammar is not dependant on Google.
I am from India Kerala Vadakkenchery

Thank you. Could you tell me why are vegetables and salads countable noun?
Because you can count them.
But we have to put the salad into a bowl or something first correct? We say 1 bowl of salad, two bowls of salad and so on.
And could we saya: one vegetable, two vegetables?
Hi,
It is really helpful ,
I have a question for you , the word " whisky " is uncoutable noun because it is liquide , is not it ?
Thanks for your great efforts.
Best wishes 🍀
Yes, whisky is uncountable (because it's a liquid).
When someone says I want a whisky... it refers to a glass of whisky.
(You a counting the glass, not the whisky).
I love It
Is uniform countable? Can I say "I'm wearing a uniform today." ?
Great question. Dictionaries say that UNIFORM is considered both countable and uncountable.
Normally you use it as a countable noun.
e.g. Every student must wear a uniform. OR I'm wearing a uniform today.
wonderful video
Thanks a lot ,I m from morroco
Hi from New Zealand

Thank you! I have a questions. When you have "a" chicken or "a" fish and they are meat but the dead animal is "complete" is there a way we can say "there is a chicken?" Is there any way to count them? Thanks
Colour what cand of noun. ?

When put uncountable nouns in container we count the contain ...i ask about the verb in this case will be plural that's like there are two bottles mike ...here verb are as plural
Yes, if the container is plural then the verb is plural.

hi tod
What about BACON.???
Bacon is Uncountable.
I want some bacon.
I want a piece of bacon.
👍👍👍
Thanks dear
That's a very good lesson, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Wait you can say 'breads'
'Different breads' or '3 breads' can be used
In English BREAD is considered uncountable.
You can say:
Different types of bread ...or....
3 types of bread .... or...
3 loaves of bread.
But we don't say "I would like 3 breads please"
How about this example: 'The bakery offers a nice selection of breads and pastries.'
uncountable nouns, we can say 3 rice bags? because we are counting the bags and not the rice, correct?
Exactly. We are counting the bags..... the bags that are used for rice, not the rice itself.
Thank u.
thanks for the video!!!!
😁
No problem!!
