Kevin is one of my favorite TH-camrs on CFB. Most talk in generalities, recruiting races, rumors, and other blah blah blah. I want to understand the game better and I want to know why some player or coach is doing better or worse. Kevin is one of the few guys who addresses my interests.
Another excellent video, Kev. My only question is why you didn't have examples from last year's team to highlight how Mike used it here - especially against LSU in Game 1. In the 2nd half of that game, Mike went with a two-back set to run and pass from it that the Tigers couldn't stop. With all the speed we now have at RB and WR, I think this year's team can take the two-back set to a whole different level.
Yeah that's a good point! My reasoning isn't the best tbh. If I include any film directly from ESPN (not all-22) then I can't monetize the video. I'm fine with doing that if the majority of the video will be ESPN footage but if 90% of the video is already all-22 and I don't have the all-22 for that one game then I don't risk the copyright. Not the best answer but it's a peek behind the curtain of why I do and do not include some games sometimes and why I like going back to Memphis (I have a lot of their all-22)
The one thing about watching Norvell's evolution is his willingness to stick to the run a lot more. When he was here at ASU he was willing to run the ball and we often had balance but he would go through these stretches where we were running the ball well but just got pass happy suddenly. He often seemed to outsmart himself and while I still see a bit of that, he's far more disciplined now which is good to see. Sometimes young coaches get overly criticized as if they are finished products and can't grow, Norvell has shown he can and continues to grow.
Outstanding! Thanks for your continued insights. Your work is great! You may even have me understanding this game before long! 😉 Go (B1G) Noles! Sooner is better!
With DJ, Norvell can utilize his legs when necessary in 2 back sets or in empty to gain a numbers advantage. I agree that Norvell will implement more of his usual run plays which will also help wrs get open rather than relying on ability than compared to last yr. Hopefully the oline can stay healthy and actually play above avg to showcase the offense.
obsessed with these videos. I wonder if center pulling might be more common for us due to us probably having better talent on the Oline than what he could get at Memphis? (No offense to Memphis players)
Yeah I mean you have some road graders at guard and a smaller center so to me it makes a lot of sense to down block with the guard and allow Mo to get in space. Good point!

Awesome! Glad I can be of service!
Great video as usual Kev! God Bless Go Noles!
this stuff is why I am so glad I found this channel! As someone that's never played the game, I lean so much. also, I loved the quiz
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks great job as always, Go Noles!!
I love these segments.
Gold.

I can't agree more. He's made his fair share of mistakes at FSU but he rarely makes the same mistakes twice. That's rare in a coach
Excellent video and insight.. Nice job . GO Noles!!

Go (B1G) Noles! Sooner is better!
I've been running out of the I, Pro, and even the wishbone. We play action fake out of all 3 formations too. What goes around comes around.
GO NOLES!!
Great breakdown, Kev.
Are you trying to nurture my limited optimism? Thanks, another great video.
Haha sorry. I tend to be an optimistic guy in the offseason
Good stuff, Kev!
Awesome vid! Thanks
Great video as always. I enjoyed the quiz
FINK!!!!
Yep I agree with AB, we called it Belly but also I consider down Buck Sweep with the 1 pulling G or we called it Buck Stay. As always Kevin great job!
Haha it if we're up to me it would all be inside zone and we would throw 50 times a game but what do I know?
I very much liked the quiz section.
Awesome! I have fun doing them. They make it feel like I'm teaching instead of entertaining
@@XsandNoles good teaching is entertainment!
Mike’s gonna bring back the tight tackle!
Looks like a good opportunity for misdirection with the QB keeping the ball for a big gain on the left (opposite) side.
I really like the idea of putting that "triple option" look to the backside with a screen and QB run option.
Roydell Williams and Jaylen Lucus are going to go off on this.
I like Caziah Holmes as lead blocker too!
@@XsandNoles absolutely
What's up Kev! GO NOLES #MIKEGOTUS #CLIMB 🍢💯🤟🏾
Need more videos! Where the hour long chalk talk of this!
Haha I wish I had more time! Had a baby this spring and am trying to finish up my PhD!
Good stuff
If our center pulls, I figure it will be Ferguson. I don't think they want to put Mo in those kind of leverage situations given his injury history.
Here you guys go giving up our plays again😂😂😂
Last time I did that fsu went undefeated so I thought it would be good. Maybe I need another "how to beat FSU" series haha
With the RB room so deep it would be a shame if we didn’t run those two back sets

Nice
This is the offense that got me excited when Mike was hired. Not that bs we did last yr of throwing 80% jump balls
The best guys on the team might end up being Hykeem, Benson, Morloxk
The first coaches to get back to hard nose football will be winners. Run the ball! Get out of shotgun on 3rd and 1 have common sense.

Power 4 Kev, power 4. Lmao
It seems to change by the day haha
