I used the Selsun shampoo for months for my dandruff. It did help but the dandruff always came back and there would still be some itchiness even after washing. Then one day I used this oil (mix of Castor, coconut and argan oil) on my scalp. In the morning I washed it off with the selsun and after a few uses, every trace of dandruff and itchiness disappeared. My hair even stopped falling immensely. Did it once every week in the night, then made sure to wash it off in the morning. Unfortunately the shampoo and oil finished and after about a month and a half the dandruff and itchyness started coming back. Now I bought the shampoo again and it still doesn't work entirely. Been searching for this particular oil EVERYWHERE but no luck in finding it.
@@abhishekponnu1856Hey I’m the original poster of this comment. I made a new account. It’s doing very well now. I ended up applying whole milk to my scalp as someone suggested and I was immediately cured
I’ve had quite good results with Nizoral anti fungal shampoo, though it’s a bit on the expensive side. I have to use quite a bit because I get buildup on more than just my head, but if you only have problems on the scalp the bottle should last longer than mine usually do. Personally I get flare ups if I wash my hair with water that’s too hot, not sure if that’s common or not but it might help using more lukewarm water for your scalp. Hope you find something that works for you, the dandruff can be a big hit on self confidence with many people :]
hello, many people say that in order to wash off the spf, you need another cleanser associated with fat (micellar water or hydrophilic oil) is this true?
Huh. I have a dry scalp, so I guess that's why I never get dandruff. Even when I had an oily scalp, pre Accutane, I never did. I have no idea why, but I sure am glad I've never had it. Thanks for the video, Dr. Syed!
I wash my face with the same cleanser twice in the morning and moisturizer and spf. in the evening I wash my face twice with the same cleanser and moisturizer is it good?
Thank you so much doctor for explaining dandruff causes and remedies so well! I used to struggle with stubborn dandruff, and it was so embarrassing. I tried Planet Ayurveda’s Neem Capsules and Hair Care Pack, and within weeks, my scalp felt healthier and flake-free. Highly recommend it for anyone dealing with the same issue!
Mine is way worse and I have it on my legs, face, and in my ears. It's torture. I literally wake up in the middle of the night itching like crazy, come morning I swear there's an outline of my body in skin flakes.
You're right about not using oils to treat dry scalp/dandruff, once when I was a teenager we tried using Sulphur 8 spray on my scalp and it my dandruff problem 1000 times worse
Question: How to kill that mf yeast. No worry It will be easy to maintain dry scalp rather than oily. Is there any way to eliminate those yeasts im serious, I have had enough of this im outta my mind rn my hairfall and dandruff isn't stopping
All the chemicals recommended by you have serious hazard to the body . I would rather stay with the dandruff. There is no harm in traditional method of applying oil to the hair than the chemicals recommended by you .

Dermatologist will give u a topical oil that’ll keep flare ups away for 2 weeks at a time.
MCT C8 oil is the only type of oil that doesn’t feed fungus
This video shows exactly what I’m doing to gym leader Bede’s scalp when I’m making muffins

How would anyone know? You know what your skin looks like. What kind of question is this?
i use ketoconasole but i use rosemary and coconut oil for hair growth ; is it correct dr ??
The coconut oil can make seb derm worse for some people
@@usamasyed True. And it goes rancid/spoil quicker too. So with coconut oil always shampoo/cond your hair once a day.
You told us in your acne video that you will make video on Accutane but since that you have made 2 videos already!!
When will it upload!?
Sorry bro, sometimes life gets in the way
I've seen people on YT use oil to soften the flakes to comb them out of the scape and hair.
is conditioner ok
I am using ketokonazole on my body but the dandruf is reducing but my skin is ichy and flaky . Do i need to use any moisturizer now . Pls help 😅
Yeah, using a non scented lotion helps (I hope you are already past the stage by now lol) And I am regularly ising ketozol too
I’m not gonna lie that was kind of satisfying

Thanks for mentioning it's not dry skin and applying oil only makes it worse.

What type of comb should i use then?

This is not dandruff. If it sticks to the scalp it's psoriasis

It goes the opposite way too. Sometimes people think they have dandruff when really they just have dry skin on their scalp
It almost never goes this way round
More like crushed potato chips 😂
Stolen video and ignorant comment regarding "parmesan cheese". Very unprofessional and insensitive.
It’s for the pasta. 🍝 😂
OM looks like fish scale😮
He has eczema.
I disagree
