Or "here's a prescription." They don't give us so much info, such as dandruff being caused by a yeast!! I never knew that! Info like that helps us make better, more informed decisions! Unfortunately there is no cure. It's just like a cold, u can treat it but never get rid of it forever. Make sure ur not using oils on ur hair or scalp and continue using a medicated shampoo. I switch between the ketoconzale shampoo and the selenium sulfide, followed by a moisturizing shampoo. This was recommended by my dermatologist.

I know your pain, it's the same for me. I tried every product out there, every shampoo containing the ingredients she mentions in this video, ACV, tea tree oil, creams, gels, shampoos that are SLS free, fragrace free etc, nothing works.
But I accidentally discovered what works wonders. I was put on Dexamethasone (pills) for my back issues for a month and my scalp issues completely dissappeared. I had the healthiest looking scalp for that month. But of course, as soon as I stopped taking it, it came back.. So I guess there must be a cause for it, some sort of inflamation. There's just not a product made for it yet..

I avoid any product that has long carbon chain (11-24) fatty acids in any products e.g. shampoos, conditioners, hair gel, hair oil, hairspray, heat protectant, hair mousse. It's a pain to find substitutes cause most of the common products have long carbon chain fatty acids which feeds malessezia.
I also pretreat my scalp with lemon juice about 5-10 minutes before washing my hair. I dilute it 50:50 with water. I can't stand the smell of apple cider vinegar so I use lemon juice instead.
I wash my hair about twice a week. Also, I shampoo twice. The first is with regular shampoo and the second is with ketoconazole shampoo which I leave in for about 5 minutes. I do the rest of my hair routine as usual. I also make sure to dry my hair within 30 minutes after washing. I avoid sleeping with wet hair.

Ketoconazole can sometimes cause irritation and selenium sulfide is milder than it in my view

Mine is not much, just sometimes it feels itchy. I use Hairburst shampoo and conditioner, cause I have thin hair and always sheds😢 due to PCOS and mental health too. And kerastase serum for anti hair fall, I use Coco & Eve after hair wash. I’m wondering if all that is bad? I always take care of my hair and take vitamins. OGX shampoo actually caused more hair loss for me and because of it my hair was slowly growing until this day, that’s why I’m using all expensive products, trying to maintain it.. it still short, it hasn’t been growing at all, the length is up to my shoulders and still the same for the past 2-3 years.😭😭😭😭 Pantene also makes my hair sheds faster. Do you think I should see a hair specialist or dermatologist?? They’re bit expensive too

Hey idk if this person will see it but I do have a question that’s going to sound a bit weird and maybe gross but just hear me out bc I’m genuinely curious
    Just as some background information:
I have a younger cousin and they are autistic, not that it really matters but because they’re autistic sometimes they do this thing where they just suck on their fingers. It’s a bit weird but whatever I guess she’s still young?
Anyways so when they do this I’ve noticed that they often put their hand ne’er their face and on their hair after they do this to push it out of their face. So this happened just over the summer but their mom was talking to my mom about how my cousin was complaining a bit about their hair being itchy or crusted and I’m guessing thats why.
    So my question is:
If a person was to put or get saliva in their hair more than just a few times how would it affect them and could it permanently damage the hair or head?
I’m just getting a bit concerned for my younger cousin that’s all and since this is a video about skin I was hoping maybe u or someone could answer it or maybe even make a video on it?
