Ever wondered how easy or difficult it would be to cast heads and accessories of your action figures?
It’s something I’ve done for a while to help create additional parts for my action figure customs & dioramas and in the past I’ve had people ask how certain parts are done so I decided to just film the process this time.
I’ve split the whole thing into two parts
Part one: Creating the moulds
Part two: Creating the casts
Hope this is useful. Any questions, let me know

Aula espetacular, mostra todos os detalhes bem de perto. Gratidão, agora sei como fazer.
Great video Jacob, looking forward to part two mate.
Thanks!!
Pt2 is done so I’ll uploads very soon
Too underrated. You deserve at least 50k. Happy new year!
Thanks!
Great tutorial and looking forward to part two. I have been wanting to do something like this for a while so this is super handy for me. Really enjoyed all of your previous tutorial videos too. Any chance of getting a direct link to purchase the kit you use from?
Thank you! Appreciate that!
Look up MB Fibreglass and pick their starter set for the one in the video
Inspired mate, time to get Moulding!
Nice one!
Any tips on casting a hand? Recently copped Super7 Cobra Commander and Retro Starscream and would love to make a hand to hold Megatron Gun
Thanks! Liked & subbed!!!!
What are the things called that you used?
Everyone always does heads or accessories, but I'd love to see someone molding action figure parts like the bicep that has a mushroom shaped through hole where you would do insert molding with water soluble wax. More complicated obviously but I'm sure it can be done
That would be awesome!
Heads and accessories are just more straight forward I guess.
I tried to mould a mego action figures boot and it did not turn out well.
Where do you live that you cant find plastic straws? Heard you say pounds so i have a guess
I want to avoid the mess. I have non Hasbro, non Takara transforming action figures. Are there businesses that will create parts/accessories based on my designs and specifications?
This is what I’ve been searching for. At the moment I’m resigned to making wax casts so I can build upon and exsisting framework
Then cast in plastic
@FranktheBlindArtist awesome. Hope it helps
