Rita has made me happy since I was a little kid. Just hearing her voice or seeing her smile lifts my spirits. I can't believe she was ever passive. I've only been around since after she'd already made it, so I always perceived her as such a strong role model, a total kick-ass who never took crap from anybody. It makes me really sad that she wasn't given parts because she's Latina. Time has more than proven there's no role she can't nail. Her talent and timing are impeccable.

I realized now that she acted in the series, ´Jane the Virgin´. I have immense respect. She kind of paved the way for other non white actresses. Still there are less main roles for women of colour. Its slowly changing. Netflix series is a blessing sometimes to see diversity and diverse stories

Rita Moreno should win another Emmy for her current work in "One Day at a time". Not that she needs another award to be an inspiration to every Latin person that ever dreamed of being an actor. Or to any Latin person who ever dreamed of succeeding in the U.S. without forgetting where they came from. But what's fair is fair...Let her win another well deserved award. Perhaps a lifetime Award??? Join me in campaigning for it for RIta !

sissy lou doubt it. She's very calm, composed, seems happy to talk about her career and her upbringing, which I have watched in multiple interviews. Stop projecting. Sure, she's a human being with issues and quirks like the rest of us. But does that mean shes resentful? I just don't see it.
