They might, especially for large objects like rifles that need to be spliced together. However, honestly there is generally enough publicly sourced information on the real firearms you should be able to figure it out. You might strike out on rare firearms, but common ones like 1911's, glocks, mausers, etc its not that hard.
Now that you mention it, it would be pretty easy to recreate the movie prop with these instructions and the 3D printed parts, if white and clear plastic was used, although the side and other large parts would probably have to be injection modeled to look good in clear.
Maybe 1 or 2 people before melting due to the fact of the plastics melting point and the heat of each round if you had a metal firing pin and could chamber it in 9mm Luger or 40 cal or even 45.acp depending on magazine size and capacity’s

its a direct copy of all the parts of an actual 1911, there's no space for a blowback system unless he modifies the shells, firing mechanism and barrel. your better off buying an airsoft one, or doing or yourself, I'm sure his models should be a good starting point.

@@iceman7077 ar15’s are not fucking military assault weapons. Military assault weapons are select fire. The ar15 is semi automatic (one shot per trigger pull) only and it is impossible to make it an automatic rifle without soooo many new parts

That is not common, yours just had an issue. I have three 1911's and have shot several others and none of them had to have the mag removed or a loaded mag to disengage the slide stop.
@danimoreon1400 there are plenty, plus with how it is made entirely from a 3D resin liquid, I reckon that it won't even last long to fire more than 3 rounds, and that's me being generous enough to give it a positive impression but overall, mostly the hammer, primer as well as the other metal parts required for the slide mechanism, chambering of a round basically it being the everything that is present within this 3D printed one clearly was not design within a 1:1 replication of the firearms system.

Ok, after a little more trouble shooting I found out it might be the grip safety trigger assembly stopper part that doesn’t clear the sear and disconnecter. I’ll still link a shorts video for you to see thanks!

For realism, weight, metal sound, I think some small parts should be made of metal. magazine, hammer, needle, screws, pins also handle can be made of wood and need painting

In a real 1911 the slide release won’t disengage unless the magazine was removed or their was a loaded mag in it. I found this out with my 1911A1
