For anyone wondering… Terro is a borax-based liquid which, to ants, is a tasty, slow-acting poison: they find it, eat it, carry the extra back to the nest, and share it amongst themselves, including the queen. Within about 24-48 hours, they all begin to succumb to the poison and eventually die. This is why you see the ants gradually diminish by the end of the video.
The way Terro works is beautiful. The ants actually hand deliver the poison to the Queen where you could never find or access her. That’s way better than just a preventative measure.
Wow they gobbled it up right to the very end! Really does have a very nice delayed reaction! Their numbers were strong right to the end then you just see a massive fall out in numbers all at once
It's a slow-acting poison that tastes really sweet. Combine that with the fact ants bring food back to the colony, and you have a very good ant remover. Imagine if someone poisoned your breakroom's donuts with something that tastes sweeter than usual, so you invite everyone to try them out. In a few days, you all start dying out, including the boss, who you personally delivered donuts to.
I think the last ant killer i used gives similar effect. A large colony of ant from no where dies within 3 - 4 days. I wonder if ants will go extinct from earth because of these methods?
People only using it to avoid ant colony in thier home. If they're doing it with a natural ant colony that doesn't affect human then it is a crime (at least for me)
They ate it all and they never came back! Actually I noticed by doing this, ants leave a trail for future ants. So the best thing to do is to caulk the opening and so far things are looking good
@@carolandericang2862 i wasn't telling u in particular, i was telling the person that made video bc they tell how it works so well n if u clean ur floor with vinegar it cleans up that trail ants leave!!
@@djcrazy8578 it’s sugar water and borax, they eat it and take it back to the queen killing the entire colony, more ants will appear first before the borax kicks in.. by then it’s too late for the colony
i used the terro thing n at first i didn't see many ants but they all came back maybe not the same ones n used vinegar before to wipe their trails away but they send out new scouts n the dollar ant traps work best, believe it or not!!

They stop because there's no more left

This looks like an aerial view of burning man.
I believe this is the most underrated comment on the interweb. Thank you for the laugh.

We are indeed, simply ants on this planet

The ants took the poison back to the queen and killed the entire colony
I like how the uploader added more bait throughout the video, this colony must be huge

The Ant movie if they had actually collected borax.
just. beautiful.
Its crazy how many ants
Jonestown.
Nice video but a clock showing time that has passed would improve this
What I don’t understand is how come they don’t die when they take it
It's a poison that acts slowly so that they can spread it to the rest of the ant hile.

@@willowthywisp Could this analogy be more perfect? 🎉 Excellent explanation!
They do, there are random dead ants on the ground.
Is this stuff any good for the WMV?
God save the queen

Unless they’re sharing the poison with other colonies (which they don’t), then it’ll be alright

Ants are so prevalent killing them off is near impossible
wat was the point of this, that ants ate the stuff u put down!!
