I love restoring vintage odds and ends. What antique do you want to see Restored?

How flexible is it. If it’s very flexible then it might be a fillet knife.
That looks like it was a worn-out mill file that someone ground into a taper to convert to a knife. That kind of thing used to be done a lot; I have an ancient butcher knife here whose blade started out as a section of a broken band saw blade from a steel mill, back in the 1920s. It holds an edge amazingly well. I need to make a new pair of grips for it, though.
⚒️ It's a restoration.
- It's like a journey from old and worn out to elegant and
functional!
The level of care and precision in this restoration is truly amazing! Thanks for the video))👍👍👍
Beautiful work
Knife's lookin' hella dope, Lost & Restored!
He blinded me with science!
LOOKIN' GOOD, NICE WORK, KEEP WELL
Marvelous job you did restoring that knife. It looks much better and it is razor sharp. I also like the new sheath you made for it. Excellent work as usual.
Beautiful restoration mister well done
Wow! Nice work!
Nice work 👍👍👍
Nice work. Love the way the handle came out.
0:10 I'm pretty sure that rusty knife started out as a file in an earlier life
0:16 "Retired Chisel: Works great for *scrapping-off this surface rust* here...👍"
Beautiful - I love the handle!
Lovely work, hope the knife appreciates it.
Rusty knives find you because they know you will give them new life. 👍
Another great restoration. 👏👏
Watermelon 🍉 party 🎊
Very cool knife 🔪
You’re best creator in youtube history!
See ya next project! 👍
КРАСИВО ...Hi from Russia
yes,it was used for cutting
Beautiful work, BUT... This is clearly a kitchen knife (slicer), rather than a hunting-type knife! Therefore, the guard/bolster is wrong -- you need a bolster that allows the user's hand/fingers to be 1/4 on the blade, 3/4 on the handle. (And a belt-loop sheath would not be used with it...) Otherwise, I really like the wire on the handle, and like I said, otherwise the work was done beautifully!
Beautiful Handle😍😍
Nice handle and cool work with leather!
Nice work from blade to sheath , top marks
MASTERPIECE!
Great work like how you used the wire in the handle
Класс 👍👍👍👍👍
My guess, call me crazy, the knife was used to cut stuff.......originally. Awsome work!
I'm just curious what you painted pink?!
“It’s perfect”
I think it's a fish fillet knife.
its too thick and not flexible enough
Yes, SCIENCE!!!!!
Just be patient and let it sit in the rust remover for 24 hours. It would have saved a lot of work and ultimately time too!
Great job !! Does look like a filet knife.
Супер 😊👍🏿😊😊🎉😂❤❤❤
Hello
Used for cutting up fish just caught
Japanese Yanagiba slicing knife
Cutting stuff?
MMMMMM...Fresh watermelon....=))
That is most likely a fish/fillet knife and as such, that handle ... it looks like you tried to mate a lion with an elephant, it just won't work.
😎😎😎👍👍👍
Have you ever had a project that ended up being "too far gone" to restore/repair? Would love to see a video about projects like that.
I cannot fathom why these youtube "restorers" spend days removing rust with electrolysis, wirebrushing, various liquids... and then just end up grinding the surface anyway.
👍🔪!!
👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍
Why don't you ever sandblast anything?
In my countrie those kind of knifes are used to kill pigs
I looked up the knife's purpose. It was used for cutting and stabbing things.. LOL You deserved that ater the 'ten tickles' groaner.
Another one for you, how do you work out if some one is ticklish? Test tickles!
Sorry it's 1.45 in morning, great restoration.
My grandpa called that a pig sticker! 🤔
It‘s may not a knife but to open letters.?
Sushi Bayonet
Looks like it used to be a file............
Ножи, не твоё, хватит, остановись!
