Ball vise was sent to us at Petersen’s Bowhunting and this is all I use for setting up and testing bows. In fact I wore the bearing out on it and BAP sent us new parts and claimed that we must use it quite often if I wore the bearing out. Yup!! My go to vise!!
Iv got both vices the pro shop is awesome for setting rest sight axis trying in dloops ect the ball mount is awesome as you can rotate in any direction really handy when getting to modules screws and you need a 3rd hand 😊 in my opinion Butch makes the best archery equipment in the industry his string building equipment is second to none also amazing equipment 😊
Best vise I’ve found. I love mine pro shop vise. The micro adjust works great. Had it for years now and it has been solid. Also works great for rifles.
I have had the BAP vice for 3 years now. Great vice, great company. I upgraded to the microadjust which helps with sight axis' adjustment, d loop leveling and install..... highly recommend.
I have the ball mount version and have not had any issues with it. Been using for about 3yrs now and only just recently decided to 'modify' it a little bit. I extended the rod between the ball and clamp by about 3". TIG welded rod back together. Gets the bow a little further from the table without sacrificing rigidity. Also, the mounting plate doesn't have to be mounted flat on a table. Can be mounted vertically as well for a different range of maneuverability . Awesome bow vise.
Been using the Pro shop vice for about a year now and it’s still working well. Allows for fine adjustment and holds firmly once set. Will never use anything else. BAP rules!
I own the pro shop vice and love it it also works for bore sighting in my rifles because it doesn’t require you to use the limbs the micro adjust is awesome and great for leveling the one thing that I didn’t like about it I already talked to butch about and most people won’t have the issue I have because they mount it to the counter
BAP makes great products and he is quick to help if you have a problem. I dont own the vice (yet) but I do his string making jigs and they work great and well made.
I sold my LCA evolution and got the baker pro shop vise a few weeks ago and it works great and having the microtune is clutch. Just finished up my Lift 33 with it
I’ve copied the ball mount version and made my own. Also look at the Howard’s vise. Heard about them because of my rifle addiction. They have a bow attachment also.
I have an OMP & it's very functional but I've noticed that after u lock your bow down that there's a little wobble which means u have to trial & error it into position. Its effective but not efficient.
Same here, but I didn't know there was another option. But to be fair, I got it at a great price used so for me, still a win....but if I had to buy new? Hmmmm. Maybe I would get a Baker.
@@jamesjgill Never heard of this Baker & the shops in the past had the OMP. Mine is nice but it's frustrating that it needs a wide split-limb attachment & I think I would rather just keep the OMP for putting a bow into a parallel to the ground fashion. The Baker would be nice for doing what MFJJ is doing for holding bows in a vertical manner & keeping it there. 🎉
Decision, ball mount, or pro vice DIY. Wanna buy once and cry once any helpful input of one over the other would be appreciated. Definitely micro adjust
I’ve had my BAP vise for a couple of years. It’s decent enough. However, the ball on mine is kind of rough, so not the smoothest adjustment. Also, the black knob on the vise crank broke off after only a couple of months.
Butch saw my comment about my handle breaking, and immediately made it right. That is the kind of guy I am glad to give my business to. Thanks Butch.
Best bow vise on the market… not even close! Butch is a great guy and is awesome to deal with!

By far the best bow vise! I’ve had mine over a year, never going back back the the others I’ve tried
I’ve had mine for 6 years. Best vice I’ve ever used. Butch is awesome!

Definitely like using his vises. Love how they don't give once you tighten them down.
Best vise I’ve found. I love mine pro shop vise. The micro adjust works great. Had it for years now and it has been solid. Also works great for rifles.
I always thought these looked nicer than others, thanks for doing the review, I’m sold on the free standing one with micro adjustments.
Have had the BAP pro shop vice for 4 yrs. Great vice and worth every penny
I have had the BAP vice for 3 years now. Great vice, great company. I upgraded to the microadjust which helps with sight axis' adjustment, d loop leveling and install..... highly recommend.
I love mine I have had it for two years and mine came with the whole workstation so that helps to keep common tools close at hand

Have the ball mount. Awesome vice that can work in all different types of applications. Butch is the man
I’ve used and owned many vises over the years and the BAP vise is the very best one I’ve ever had or used.
I have this vice and the last chance and let's just say the last chance just sits there and never gets used
Same
The floor stand is awesome and it breaks down for easy travel as well.
Great job. Keep filming. You had to take that shot and you made the best of it!
I have the ball mount and the adapter for the ez press. It’s a perfect setup for a home shop 🔥🔥🔥
I've got the ball mount version and love it.

Butch makes a great vice!
I have the one that goes into the LCA EZ green press, with the micro it’s awesome
Have you seen the Howard total vise yet??? Hope you give a review after using it for awhile.
I sold my LCA evolution and got the baker pro shop vise a few weeks ago and it works great and having the microtune is clutch. Just finished up my Lift 33 with it
Why did you sell the last chance?
Didn’t have micro adjust so I was always fighting the bubble to get it level. It’s still a nice vise but the baker is better for me.
@@tjbrenny396 thank you!
No problem
Love mine!! Butch is the man!
Absolutely love my baker. Super secure. Simple. And can clamp firearms in them as well.
I have the pro vise with micro adjust/ best vise I’ve personally had, can go from bow to bow and then level a scope on a rifle without missing a beat.
Have you decided which works best for your shop?
I own a Pro Shop vise, excellent product, very stable 👍
I’ve copied the ball mount version and made my own. Also look at the Howard’s vise. Heard about them because of my rifle addiction. They have a bow attachment also.
My bad “total vise” not sure why I thought Howard
Thanks Josh

They actually make an adapter that mounts into the end of the LCA Press. Great system
Hey MFJJ have you ever shot APA? They are coming out with some great tech in their bows! Possible review?
I have the ball with the micro on my ez green and that thing is super handy.
Micro ball mount for me,been very handy.
I own this vice too and love it
Maybe do another video with the ball mount with micro tune?!
I have the ball mount. Works perfect for me.
Decision, ball mount, or pro vice DIY. Wanna buy once and cry once any helpful input of one over the other would be appreciated. Definitely micro adjust
So why is the pro shop one cheaper than the ball mount one then?
I’ve had my BAP vise for a couple of years. It’s decent enough. However, the ball on mine is kind of rough, so not the smoothest adjustment. Also, the black knob on the vise crank broke off after only a couple of months.
I will replace your knob. Get a hold of me.
Thank you. I appreciate that. I left you a message on your website.
Would love to see black mamba pro
I want to attach one to the pack out table top.
These are sold out already?
Good stuff
Not a ball mount, but I made my own. For free. Scraps and a welder.
If I knew they existed, I would have went that route instead of OMP
website says sold out
Price
Search shows $335. Should self level for that price. Although everything has gotten Way Over Priced.
First!
The “pro shop” Vice is 10 dollars cheaper than the ball mount on their site. Interesting.
Ball mount is better in my opinion
first is my preference not 2é dont like compas :( but if you prefert just the différents ideas :)
gett n my edumucation here,,, damn,,
The BAP replaced last chance and OMP.
HTM. BEST VICE. HANDS DOWN.
