I currently have a 2013 Paceman S in manual (but not All 4) with 65k miles. He is my winter ride, an R57s for the summer. Paceman is a fun car!
I originally had a Mini Paceman JCW for a few years and changed it to the normal mini hatch JCW. But in April last year changed back to my current Mini Paceman Cooper S. It’s 8 years old but still drives great and once you get used to the taller stance you can still chuck it into corners like the normal hatch.

Mine is r61 from 2014 and with 140Kms still perfectly fine. I agree that suspension setup is bad. Max speed is also bad compare with regular hatch. Exhaust sound is also not good. Maybe JCW was the unicorn to go with
JCW maybe, but you don’t find many Paceman, let alone one with a manual.

@@TheMINIac OK sometimes I go to Mini dealers and when I look at the JCW wheels I don t like the design I think it would be much better with some BBS or OZ Racing wheels.
I remember one day at the dealer there was a nice Countryman JCW with Mini wheels with the BBS design and it was really excellent.

I had two n18 minis. An r60 sall4 auto and an r56s auto 2011 models. The engine was a poor designed and build one that had many problems. All present an ex owners of these models have experienced many problems and costly ones. Bmw didnt honored its name with these and for sure didnt backed any of us. Lack of parts months of wait for some such as the cas. Every single motor passed 130.000 kms has to be rebuild along with the gearbox est. 8.000 to 10.000 euros. The suspension setup of the r60 was so pathetic that the rear wheels had to be camberd from the factory. Both suspensions led to a spine doctor and the brakes where perfect for a citroen saxo 2001 model. Bottom line? We all bought f60s sall4 and se's like total morons cause the damn cars have something attractive on them. But, trully bmw never acknowledged its failure with the r series or at least say a sorry to all of us that paid for R series crap. I now see r series on the road and feel sorry for the owner or youngsters trying to find a decent r.
Oh wow. Are they really that bad. I was looking at a paceman for my next car. Maybe a 2015 or 2016. I'd love a jcw but more than likely an s version
