Recently bought a Paceman. (4 months ago). Absolutely love it. But when I got it from the dealership part of pre sale prep we agreed on new tires to get rid of the run flats. Currently working on cosmetic mods like blacking out the "chrome" bits, changing the black outer bits to piano black. I'd like to do more performance mods, but when I got the car I got a 2 year warranty on the engine and transmission so those are off limit for now. And might be for a while after that since the dealership IF I haven't had problems in the first 2 years I can opt to buy an addition 2 years. 4 year warranty on a 10 year old car pretty good deal not to mess with. All that said. I love it. Just enough performance to make it fun to drive The ride height makes it a lot easier for me to get in and out of (mobility issues so it was a factor in what I got) And it is just different then other Minis to stand out.
@@FastandFun Me and my dog love a road trip. Maybe I stop by once lockdown is lifted. Lol. Plus had have you had a go in a Peugeot RZC R... Got one of those too. Lol.
I agree that the styling is very different and probably the most diversive styling of all the cars that I’ve driven. Some love the looks, some hate it - a marmite car for sure 👍🏻
It’s a lot nicer than MY first car for sure. Whether it’s an ideal first will come down to whether you like the looks of the car. It’s got so many design features (perhaps too many!) and it’s quite a harsh ride, with not the most refined Diesel engine. But there’s nothing else really comparable on the road, it should certainly be quick enough and you have the benefit of an excellent mpg, supported by most likely good BMW reliability. It certainly makes a strong case for itself, with the added rarity that you aren’t like to see many others on the road 👍🏻

@@JasonBrockMusic drop by anytime. Always pleased to show you around the cars/garage, especially if you bring one of yours down for a review. 👍🏻
The style in my opinion is superior to most vehicles, especially the old fashioned radio which is fantastic imo 😊

Would you recommend for a first car. Was thinking a paceman or a VW Scirocco
