Yo! Time for one of them classic pinned updates! First off. Thanks for all the kind words and support. I didn't know what to expect really, but gotta admit, there's so much warmth here, and it's just real nice to see. Kindness is rad. Gonna answer some of the frequent Qs I've seen (the ones I'm comfortable answering at least) Why not JamieRightMeow instead of WowRightMeow? I think WowRightMeow is more fun, and I also just didn't feel like having my actual name in my channel name. * shrug * What title do you use? I don't like using titles personally, but If it's a requirement for something formal, I use the gender neutral 'Mx'. What the hell is INFP / ENFP !? It's just a personality type. You can find out yours by looking up '16 personalities', and taking a long quiz. In all honesty, it's just a bit of fun, you don't have to read into it too much. I'm between two types (Mediator and Campaigner) because I'm like 50/50 on introversion and extraversion. On the note of They/Them pronouns, sure it's going to take time for those unfamiliar with using it regularly to get used to, but on the note of it being 'correct', to quote from Merriam-Webster: "We will note that 'they' has been in consistent use as a singular pronoun since the late 1300s; that the development of singular 'they' mirrors the development of the singular 'you' from the plural 'you', yet we don’t complain that singular 'you' is ungrammatical; and that regardless of what detractors say, nearly everyone uses the singular 'they' in casual conversation and often in formal writing." Article here: www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/singular-nonbinary-they For those that have said I need to seek help and therapy because I identify as NB. It's funny, 'cus it was thanks to therapy last year that I managed to make sense of my struggles and confusion. It helped me come to terms with what I have been experiencing throughout my life. Not every person that identifies as NB experiences dysphoria or a disconnect with their body, but I certainly have massively struggled with it, and still do, but it's a lot easier to understand and deal with now... and that may be a video for another time if I ever feel like I want to talk about it. But for now, I just wanna get back to having fun with creating my usual kinds of illustrated vids. :D
Ever since I was little, I was OBSESSED with more masculine names, felt jealous of boys around me for various reasons, and always felt really weird about being called “girlie” or anything under those lines. I found out in 4th or 5th grade that I’m trans, and I identify as male! I'm proud of you for coming out, thank you, Jamie! Edit: I fixed some grammar mistakes. Also the account I originally made this comment on is out of use. Jade_Artz_ is me :)
Hey! nice to see you back! changing names doesn't feel weird, especially growing up in a time with the internet where most people go by nicknames/usernames, in fact, I hardly hear my real name all that often now.
My real name is very hard to say/spell irl so I'm just so used to nicknames and internet names I don't give a shat if that name(s) is masculine, feminine, androgynous, or it's own thing.
If I had a nickel for every British, trans, TH-cam, or tell me that they chose the name, Jamie, well, I have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird, but it happened twice.
I had a feeling that the "contract says I can't like both dogs and cats" was a Bi/Pan joke. Congrats on coming out as NonBinary and Pan, and congrats on your new name Jamie! As someone who's Bi and kind of gender questioning, and definitely still in the closet, seeing creators like you displaying their identities proudly and unapologetically makes me so profoundly happy!
I’ve met many trans and non binary people called Jamie, I can honestly understand why everyone loves that name- it’s just so- nice? I don’t know how to describe it. Good pick! It matches you! 💕
Yo Jamie, thank you for being open with this. As a cis-person interested in learning about different identities, I always feel so relieved when peeps are openly talking about it, cuz it makes it way easier to understand different needs
Gender is such a weird thing. I’ve been trying to figure my own since I was in primary and still don’t know so I’m glad you have been able to find yourself in the seemingly endless sea of pronouns, gender and dysphoria!
Same, except I just recently found out I was a trans guy- I hate how it works and how people are stereotyped as one of them by their looks too, it’s very weird indeed
I'm really happy this community is open enough to actually tell us and talk about these things. These kinds of channels have helped me grow so much, and gotten me out of some of my lowest points. Thank you, and have a nice day :)
While I don't really understand the whole non-binary thing, because I'm not non-binary and its not my place (nor does it feel ethical) to judge how others feel about their own identity... the new name does suit you pretty well. Jamie.. its nice. 👍
Gotta say- watching this video feels hella reasuring. As a person who is in process of figuring stuff out about their gender and how they would bring this subject up to their family and friends watching someone as you telling us about your journey is very inspiring. Thank you, Jamie♡
When I first read that Jamie was non-binary the way they described their story helped me a lot. Before reading it I didn't understand the point of being non-binary or trans, but was fully accepting and supportive of anyone who was. Their story just kind of made it click why someone would be trans/non-binary. I am a demi-girl lesbian, if it weren't for Jamie I wouldn't have realized I like being called both she/her and they/them, being called that just makes me feel good. I highly doubt they'll see this but I just wanted to say thank you
@@seanbirch Well that's your opinion. Personally knowing stuff like this about myself makes me feel better, and when people ask what my pronouns or sexuality are, I like being able to answer
Why is every person that's named Jamie litterly the nicest and most wholesome people that exist Edit: Jamie Lannister does not count he is a horrible person
This makes me feel happy since I recently changed my name and pronouns and I feel super happy. I now go by Trixie/Tris and it feels good to see people slowly start to use this. I wouldn't have done this without my amazing friends\found family. Good luck on your own journeys my non binary friends.
For over half a year, I identified as non-binary. Only last month did I come to the realisation that I’m not non-binary, but I’m a trans male. What I’m trying to say is, finding yourself is never easy, but it’s never too late to start looking. I’m proud of you, Jamie. Keep being you 💙
Gender identity is fluid and will change as you grow and progress through life. Don't invalidate yourself. You were once nonbinary, but now you're trans. It's all good! Also u can be both
as a non-binary person, it's so cool to see someone i've looked up to for such a long time talk about this stuff. jamie is such a cool name, i hope you continue to make content that matters to you and that you can live your life to the fullest after discovering your identity!! (hopefully worded that right lmao)
@@Alexitty17 you don’t find the door you burn the door and the bin you live in and then you try to extinguish it and fail wait 3 years and then say fuck holy god I found my mental stability then drop it again
I am literally at this same stage in my life and have yet to take the leap to change my name legally. You have no idea how much confidence this give people like us that we aren't alone!
IF I HAD A NICKEL FOR EVERYTIME A SEMI-FAMOUS TH-camR NAMED JAMIE WASN'T CIS... I'd have 2 nickels. Or maybe more. That's not much but it's neat that it happened twice.
Between you and Chipflake, ya both have been helping me with my own identity crisis and so happy for you to find a name that suits you! Congrats Jamie!
And if you ever need help with videos I’m sure there are plenty of artists that would love to help you out and work with you! Ahem-like me- but most importantly, try not to worry too much about not posting a lot, animatic/animation videos are difficult and take time and the real fans understand.
Chipflake and Jamie coming out has honestly made feel like I am not alone ya know? and I am so happy to see how much the pandemic has cracked so many eggs (me included)
I recently came out as a trans girl and I can tell that hearing my loved ones calling me by my new name gives me so much joy. I’m so happy for you, Jamie! ^^
trans girls and trans femmes are super underrepresented in the lgbtq community, i’m so proud of you for having the courage to come out! i’m afab trans masc here but i stan you, pop off queen!
@@silvermisststorm I understand you may not understand it but it’s more than just a feeling of femininity or masculinity but more of a oh crap wait why doesn’t my body feel right or wait my name sounds… wrong? And it’s even I neurological thing too most trans men have more cis male like brains and trans woman have more so cis female brains, thanks for the questions to trans people though because some of us are basically gay (umbrella term) dictionary’s and for me it’s fun to answer tough questions! -Artemis (they/he)
That's such a cute name, and it absolutely suits you! I've been here ever since your first video, and it's been a real journey for both you and all of us shoulder to shoulder. Proud of you, and I admire you and your work! Stay awesome and WOW!
Welcome back! Your new name suits you perfectly. I also love the new look of your avatar! As a straight cis-person I have zero clue how difficult it must have been for you to figure all this stuff out, and I'm happy that you found you way through. I wish you all the best for the future, and I'm looking forward to new content on your channel!
Since you came out I've also realised that i'm trans. I'm a trans girl. Your video helped me question my identity back then, thank you. I love your videos.
THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! I was introduced to your work through your newest release (Alien goo baby toys.) And when youtube started recommending your older stuff, I was a little confused at first. I wondered if it was a stylistic choice, or something more. And now I know! And I'm so happy for you! Maybe it's weird to say, but I'm absolutely in love with people being their truest self!
I'm so happy for you! As someone who's also nonbinary i really do understand how complicated and confusing it can get! Just wanted to let you know how great your doing :)
My issue with videos that address gender identity, is that it usually means that the channel moves away from it’s normal content to purely defending gender identity. But I’m relieved to hear that this won’t happen here. I’m proud to be a fan of someone who looks for who they are, accepts it, and continues doing what they love. Welcome home, Jamie!
It's part of who I am, and I needed to address the name situation at least, and you can imagine why, haha! But it's definitely not going to be a focus for the channel. It's not my personality. I might make a long-ass video sometime down the road taking about the journey, and struggles I had in my teens that I didn't have the language for at the time... Because it might be helpful to some. But that won't be for a while. Anyway, yeah, I'm back onto making my ol' eclectic dorky content, and it honestly feels like a fresh start ✨
trans people's content don't have to serve your specific tastes... if a trans person only wants to talk about defending gender identity, you shouldn't be upset that you missed out on content, you should look into why that person has to constantly defend themselves in order to exist
@@sosolis2123 I wasn’t saying that they have to serve my specific tastes. I’m just saying how relieved I am that Jamie’s content won’t shift just because they decided to address their gender identity. I’m saying when most creators address this topic, they tend to focus solely on it and drop what they were doing before. I followed them for the content they dropped. But it’s their choice to change and I respect it. Since I personally don’t like consuming that content however, I choose to leave. I’m just glad I won’t miss out on the content I came to this channel for.
Hey, I’m proud of you. Figuring out how you feel and what is the most true to you is a lot, even without society forcing their opinions on the matter, and so much worse when they do. You’ve done so much work for this. You’re stronger than I’m pretty sure you give yourself credit for.
Not me who totally forgot about your channel and haven't watch it in years and can't even remember your dead name. So good for you Jamie I'm happy for you 😊
As a non-binary who has also chosen the name Jamie, I’m so proud of you for being who you are! I saw this in my recommended and I just wanted to tell you!
YOO IM ALSO JAMIE AND NON-BINARY :DD my happiness levels are 📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈 6th May 2022 edit: currently going as genderfluid now but you’re still all valid o7
That fits so well! My mind when you announced your new name literally went "yea that's them that fits." Having a creator that's chill being nonbinary is really welcoming and safe. Thanks for being you and stay awesome Jamie! ^^
It's so great to see people with a wide platform like yours come out and talk about being nonbinary and how HAPPY it makes them. Listening to how you enjoy going by Jamie and how it fills you with genuine joy, made me tear up. Thank you for being you. As a nonbinary person this means so much to me and it fills me with hope that some time I can be out irl too and be accepted for it.
Congrats for coming out & finding the courage to share this with everyone, but also acknowledging that you don't owe anyone explanations about yourself! Really happy for you Jamie
I've been watching your channel for like maybe a year now and I really like the fact that you felt comfortable enough to come out to all of your fans I love you Jamie
Hey Jamie! I love how happy your new name makes you! As a Christian (don’t hate me, I don’t judge you), I want you to know that you are amazing and that no matter what you are called, there is always someone out there who loves you for who you are on the inside. I’m not gonna force my religion on you, because that would be totally rude and condescending ‘:D I hope you are having an awesome day and I hope that you find complete happiness in life. Love your vids! I can tell this one was hard to make so I’m proud of you for finally crossing the bridge :D
Yay, so excited for this one!! Love the new poses; I think the one at 1:10 with one hand behind your back and the other in your hair is my current favorite. :-D
Absolutely love the name. Not to be biased. But so happy for you taking that hard step coming back. Missed your content and work. But excited for this new chapter!
So proud of you, Jamie! As a demigirl, I just wanna say that we're here every step of the way! Also, just to clarify, my birth name can already be used between any gender, so I'm sticking with it. -Neve x
I support you Jamie! I’m trans male, and recently have been starting the process of changing my name as well. I picked one I really like, and I’ve been using it with friends and family, and now at my new job as well! It can definitely be nerve wracking, but I’m super proud of you for taking that step!
As someone who recently came out as genderfluid and as someone who has also changed their name this is very validating, I'm so proud of you, because even I don'y always have the courage to correct people. It makes me happy to know you're happy! I am very excited for you Jamie!
@@silvermisststorm Hey, so with your comments I'll like to say that as a Cishet woman. I always had an issue expressing my feminine side because I didn't want to be 'like other girls' and ever since this pandemic, I had issues with feeling like I should be ashamed of my heterosexuality (or try to hide it). As well as feeling as if my masculine/androgynous side would force a stereotype that I 'look too queer to be straight' and even with those thoughts and less pleasant interactions. I still don't feel that just embracing your sides is enough. I try to embrace them and when I'm not in a shitty mood, I feel happy about myself. But even with that there are some people who think that their current label isn't right no matter how hard they try. I feel like that is when your actually abandoning yourself; hiding your true identity because that's how it works in the past. Or they may have found a label that actually fits them, they feel happy and they have probably found their true selfs in that regard to. What I'm saying is that just embracing certain traits isn't enough. It takes a lot more than that.
@@pv7875 you where ashamed to be straight? Also whats with cishet ya could have just said girl, No need for fancy things. To me it still sounds like their hiding behind their made up identity. The only thing they changed is what they call themselves and it magicly fixed the probablem. Everyones responses have just backed up the idea they created a problem and fixed it by being "special"
I'm a genderfluid person, too! I go by he/they pronouns since I mostly feel masculine and non-binary. All of my friends and closest friends had accepted me immediately, and I'm now waiting for the right moment to tell my parents. I'm terrified, but I'll have to eventually. Anyways, I hope you are having a great life now since you had came out! Wish us the best of luck as us genderfluid bitches! 💖 ● 💜 🖤 💙
@@silvermisststorm I am suffering from (heterofatilisim/internalized heterophobia or what ever) and I don't know how myself, I tried doing research but there was barley anything other that existential guilt. I will try and discuss it with a professional in h future because of the severe lack of resources of my problem. It's not really a fancy term is just to tell you, I never transitioned, I never had to go extreme lengths to find out who I like. And I'm not "special" as you call it. But I still do all the things you do and I as well as many others still have issues accepting ourselves. They're not _hiding_ they are *being* their identity. Its not just about feeling special.
Ayyyy I’m also a pan enby who’s a Sagittarius, that’s cool, good on you for taking your first steps to make a change in your life. I found it hard to come out since people were used to my legal name and appearance. I’ve considered giving up but that’s something you shouldn’t do, you’ll never find happiness that way, keep moving forward and be true to yourself. It doesn’t matter if some people who refuse to understand or accept you, there will always be people who are willing to learn and be around you for who you are or something like that, it’s what I’ve noticed ever since I learned who I was, sorta. You can still learn new things about yourself over the years, so it’s best to just accept things and continue to learn more about yourself and to go with the flow.
I saw the title, I saw the new channel name and I was like: Wait, what's happening? is this the right channel? WHAT IS GOING ON!?! I am so happy for you, Jamie! You have a right to be who ~YOU~ want to be, don't let anyone change your mind!
Why do I feel like Jamie suits them so much, I am so glad that they are comfortable with their identity now, or at least feel better about their name and image. Jamie, you are awesome and good luck forever :D - from a dear fella who loves your personality and channel
I'm really happy for you Jamie! As someone who is also nonbinary and goes by they/them pronouns, it can be really scary start implementing it into every day life because you don't want people to think any less of you, but more often than not, you'll find a loving community of people who will support your journey of coming out and self discovery. Kudos! And congratulations! :)
I used to watch you all the time, imagine my surprise when I saw a video and I recognized your name. . I am so happy that I get to see so many creators transition, proud of you 💛🤍💜🖤
As a person who has been dealing with a lot of gender dysphoria ever since I was a kindergartener and still am I really needed to se something like this so I just wanted to say, thank you for being you and stay strong. I love the name Jamie I used it myself before to, so I really think it fits you.
Hello! I came out non-binary last summer and have been struggling as well, with gender assumers, the way I want to express myself by the way I look, and even family members messing up, but something we started, was this little thing called the “gender jar”! Whenever my parents messed up with my gender, I’d put their name in and around thanksgiving we counted it all up, each name a dollar I’m pretty sure- which we donated to a charity to help mostly trans kids and other kids having a hard time with their identity. You aren’t alone, and your fans are here to support you! Edit: Thank you all for the support! Please know that many people support you too
oh thats so great! my name is jasper and my pronouns are he/him and dude my mom in particular is very transphobic, she always tells me that trans people can't live normal lives and I always have to hide myself from her and its kinda sad. I'm really glad that you have supportive parents who are willing to correct themselves, about 5 months ago I have been wanting to be called Lia because I hate my dead name (Julia) and my dad has "tried" but ultimately gets it wrong 99% of the time, same with my brother, and my mom outright refused to even try. It's kinda sad lol. My mom also says that 13 year olds cant know if they're trans but like lol I'm 13 and I know that I'm trans so...
@@dragonslayer101 I’m sorry if this isn’t enough, but please know that even if they don’t support it- I support it. I might just be some stranger on the internet, but I can say that so many people would agree, and support you for you you are.

I've recently come to terms with being nonbinary myself as an afab person, and it just makes me really happy to see other enbies reintroducing themselves - it strengthens my resolve to get to a place where I can feel comfortable doing so, too. I really appreciate this, Jamie. WELCOME BACK!
In tears over finally seeing a content creator that is like me. Thank you Jamie, you have made me, and I'm sure many other trans/enby people who have been following you, so happy. I hope I can find a name that makes me as happy as yours makes you :)
I'm still confused about the whole gender identification and such, but it's nice to see you so happy. You love your name, you love how you feel, your new pronouns, I dont fully understand but I'm happy that you are happy! Nice job Jamie! Also, Jamie is a great name!
Someone explained to me that there is a spectrum to gender identity. Sounds like you probably don’t have a strong gender identity, so it can be confusing why gender matters so much to some people and how they can feel so strongly that their birth-given gender is wrong. Dunno if I’m explaining it well, but that person helped me understand that feeling you are a specific gender or not varies in intensity from person to person.
I changed my name too! I love this video so much as someone who struggled finding a name for a while (Ik this is old news) but I am so appreciative I had to say something! Love ya Jamie :)

Whenever a TH-camr I watch talks about being LGBT (especially trans) I get all giddy bc it feels like I'm recognized in some weird way, love the new name and good luck on everything going forward
This is like the stupidest thing ever but I'm a genderfluid lad who was assigned male at birth and named Jamie, and this is actually strangely validating? I never wanted to change my name because I actually really like it and it isn't strictly tied to any side of the gender binary tldr I really like your new name and thank you for making this video :>
Hey Jamie, I have no idea if you'll EVER read this but it's been bugging me for YEARS. I watched you all the time in highschool when I identified as a cis girl, and we had the exact same deadname. Not only that, but we were both from Wales, looked EXACTLY alike (speaking in terms of your persona; the freckles, hairstyle, baseball shirts and all that) I'm a saggitarius too btw AND I'm an animation/art student myself. (I fluctuate to ENFP sometimes although I'm ENTP) I came out as trans (ftm) a few years ago and it's honestly INCREDIBLE to me that you also found yourself too! It's insane how relatable we both are, you feel like some long lost twin LMFAO. I go by Aiden now (the nickname Aidey the link between our old name and all) and you really made me proud by having this decision to tell everyone who you are. Thank you so much for inspiring me, I only hope you become as talented and brave as you some day! Take care :)

What made you feel the need to pretend to be nothing instead of just not being afraid to partake in more masculine/feminine things as you are. Shouldn't we be suporting those who can be themselves rarher then suporting the ones who hide behind false identities?
@@silvermisststorm you know, it’s funny- I actually felt like I was hiding behind my assigned gender for decades. 4:13 My dead name & chosen name are also pretty similar, going from Anastasia to Alekzandar. Glad someone else sees the aspect of transitional 'ease' that comes with a similar name, but also emphasizes the other & honestly more important aspects of a chosen name- Like how much it means to us, how it validates us, & how it makes our gender identities more identifiable to those around us. I'll definitely be using this video to help explain the reasoning behind picking a similar name to my dead name next time I'm pestered about it. Keep up the amazing work Jamie & congrats on making it this far! (I'm a Demiboy btw, he/they ^•^)

When I first read that Jamie was non-binary the way they described their story helped me a lot. Before reading it I didn't understand the point of being non-binary or trans, but was fully accepting and supportive of anyone who was. Their story just kind of made it click why someone would be trans/non-binary.

So what made you deside to abandon your self and take on a false pretence rather then just embracing more feminine/masculine things as you are.
@@silvermisststorm I am suffering from (heterofatilisim/internalized heterophobia or what ever) and I don't know how myself, I tried doing research but there was barley anything other that existential guilt.

You sound like an amazing person and I hope that if you have problems in your life you will go through them with ease ☺️
Thanks so much for the support 🌈💖
@@JAMIEvstheVOID It’s honour to support good people :)
im non-binary and very recently came up with a new name for myself- i hadnt gone by my birth name in years because it felt wrong to- im glad more people are being open about the journey of new names- also testing the waters by using a name for yourself in video games is really helpful lmao
I go by Jamie to! Also I’m so glad you figured out what makes you comfortable
The moment you said your name, I just knew it was a perfect fit for you. It's sweet and simple and honestly catchy! I'm glad you are sharing us something that is dear to you jamie
You have no idea how awesome it is to see someone so much like myself flourishing! - From one nonbinary artist with aphantasia to another :)
Your name is who you are Jamie, be proud of yourself for the movement you achieved. Also Jamie is the name of my boss and she is Hella awesome. And I apologize for most restaurant staff if they misgender you, we most likely don't realize and/or can't tell.
0:38 Lol. I didn't know "Aw, beans!" was a phrase, but I love it! 😂😂
Always goes what feels right (and healthy of course). The fact the name Jamie makes you feel good that's all the statement thsts needed.
And brah never apologize for being away. You do what YOU need to. I'll be happy to wait for the next be episode and see your wonderful art!
Have a wonderful day! I'll be staying tuned!
I came out as non-binary just a few months ago and have been cautiously trying a new name, and I practically squealed when I saw a reference to it in this video :)
Hi, my name is Remy! Jamie, it’s been so wild to follow you on your journey and discovering more of myself because of you 💜. So proud of you for making this step and I can’t wait to see more of your creations!
yo remy is a freakin banger name! my name's jazi!!
I realized that it was mentally and emotionally taxing trying to fit into that gender. I found it incredibly freeing to say that neither gender fits me.
I think you’re right though, we absolutely should be supporting each other. No one should have to feel they have to hide behind an identity that isn’t truly them 🥰
Jamie is an awesome name! I'm proud of them for how far they've come. Although it's inevitable with the disgusting hate from others, I hope they keep their support system close. You got this, Jamie!
nice to know there’s more youtubers who are LGBTQIA+!
My personal favorites in that category are Jamie (you), jaiden animation, aimsy, eret, and nihachu
What about the other Jamie?

@@_mars_5762 you're welcome :)
As someone who's questioning their gender identity, I really appreciate you telling us :)
(I'm a Demiboy btw, he/they ^•^)
I like your new name! So long you enjoy yourself! That is one thing with life thats important
