The cake was beautiful. To ensure that none of the liquid from the fresh flowers enter the cake, plastic wrap can be used on the stems then inserted into the cake to keep it clean. Years ago, I made a two tiered wedding cake for my youngest son and his wife. For the topper I used a small clean bowl and I used wet floral foam as the base then inserted my fresh flowers. The arrangement was beautiful and was easily removed for cutting the cake. Thank you for sharing your video.
This is so beautiful. And absolutely perfect for a need I didn’t know I had until this morning! A dear widowed friend of mine is so excited to be getting remarried today in a small ceremony at our church. She asked me to handle arranging the flowers on the cake with the caterer. I have no idea what I’m doing! Now I’m going to print out these PDFs to give to the caterer and I know that the flowers on the cake are going to be lovely! Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart!
I noticed you just cut the stem and stuck it into the cake. I've watched many videos which state that you don't want the fluids leaching out of the stem and into the cake. Some flowers are toxic and therefore need protection even if they're organic. This is the first video that I've watched where you don't even wrap the stem in floral tape or place into a stem holder which then goes into the cake. Don't get me wrong, your design is lovely and very appealing, but covering the stem is a must in my opinion.
I’m making my sisters bridal shower cake and love this look, size and everything ;) What size pans are the tiers ?? Are they only 2 layers each ? Thanks so much!!
@@amybeckner674 In the stores I worked in we used a home remedy wax. melt some wax, let it set so it cools then just dip a small amount of flower end into it. Then set them up n a tall jar to rest. Flowers on cakes by health department standards in the state of Oklahoma can ONLY be eatable flowers. I do not know about other states. Good luck with this hopefully remedy.
Yes, flowers are expensive, but considering these cakes without flowers can run over $150 - and my daughter-in-law made the cake herself - we sure did save money! Thank you for watching.
What a lovely cake!❤️ Thank you for the wonderful tutorial!🌿🌷🌿
You are so welcome!

My wedding cake had a bit of aluminum foil wrapped around the flower stems. It was beautiful.

Beautiful cake!...I love a cake with fresh flowers!
I have made ALOT of wedding cakes with flowers, I think my favorite is the pansy. Very pretty!!!
Nancy Staggs I will have to try making one with pansies!
Nancy- how do you keep liquids from fresh flowers getting cake wet?

Loved 🥰🥰
👰like#1👰 😍👏👏😙
Beautiful cake but shouldn't put fresh flower stems directly into cake as fluid leaks from stems into cake and shouldn't be earen.
It looks beautiful, but…
if the flowers are not organic,
they have chemicals.
So be sure to use the flowers
who are organic and you can eat.
You are so right!
By the way - Ranunculus are not edible
Definitely need to protect the cake from bacteria and plant sap. Not the best way to demonstrate cake florals.
You look like Trisha Yearwood
