I always select flowers that are technically edible varieties but they are not food grade quality (they're usually grown for cut flowers, not as edible flowers) so I make sure to tell they are purely for decoration, just to be safe. I'd love to use just food grade edible flowers but usually what is available is not within the wedding theme.
