Not my cup of tea, but well done. Thanks Dixie. Frankly, I think the music isn't right, at least for my taste. Same lyrics to a rockin beat and instrumentation would go over better, least ways for me. I will not go to white folks churches, even though I look white, I can't stand the corny old music. Now when I go to most black churches, they take the same songs but rock it out, I enjoy that a lot. I'm actually a heinz 57, I have a bit of a number of ethnicities and races in my family tree.
Don’t stereotype churches. There are plenty of “white churches” that can get down with it too. This is just a fun song that they do. The Talleys can rock it out too. They have really awesome rendition of “He’s Alive” along with some other great songs such as “Red Letter Day” and “Life Goes On”.
okay, I'll amend that statement to Southern churches that I've been to. Yeah, in other places there are churches that can rock it out, but not around here.
