I was a kid in the 1970's and I have very fond memories of visiting my grandparents , cousins, aunts and uncles there. I wouldn't trade those times and memories for the world. My Aunt Eirene took us to see Grease in 1978 at the shows near Kroger's on Lover's Lane. Great times!
There was a movie theater near Krogers at the Hollywood Plaza and the movie theater at the Fort Steuben Mall off of Lovers Lane. I could have been in the theater with you. I saw Grease 8 times.
I missed going down to the Herald Square Cigar store to pick up a copy of "The Monster Times"-I would call the store to see if it was i9n & the manager would always say "We'll have"The Monster Times " tomorrow!" This would go on for a week.......What a classic memory!
@@itsmecamroy I didn't know that. I remember that was a skating rink across from the College of Steubenville back then. My grandparents lived on Oregon Ave. Good memories, and I appreciate the look back to a simpler and happier time to me.
@@itsmecamroy Neat that we have a neighborhood connection! It was a really nice area until the 1980's. My grandparents then moved out by Richmond, but they always maintained their Steubenville connection!
I loved those meatball heels at Naples Restaurant, growing up. Also to be found at Squires Restaurant in Baltimore. Never found them anywhere else…
Love your videos

Better times then. Today its closed factories, broken familes, and the opiod crisis.
Did you ever go to the "Teen Time" dances in the late 60s there?
No. I've seen clips over the years of the show. They even have some on TH-cam.
You left out isleys ice creme. Hope you do one Of Steubenville 80s after economic decline (I left in 79). Steel mill shut downs did their damage.
My Yia-Yia used to take me to "Treasure Island" , which is Kroger's today.
The original Treasure Island was downtown then moved uptown.
