Everywhere i go i see people claiming this game is gonna be the best sonic game yet. I'm still skeptical until i get my hands on it myself but glad to hear all the positive reviews and impressions since the first IGN showing.
Got the game finally and Holy crap it really is good. Im so glad. Cant believe some are just trying to jump on the "Oh new sonic game? It sucks! Just like sonic 06 its no stranger to bad games" hate bandwagon just cuz its a new sonic game. Seriously i see why people are saying its good.
ok ngl I thought the switch version would look worse and run worse. nice to see it functions better than Zelda TotK did at launch. Nintendo NEEDS to upgrade their hardware. Even if its a Nintendo Switch Pro or something.
lmaO Im sorry but everytime I here a Sonic tuber say "it really feels like DMC" I just think to myself ya'll probably have never played DMC. This games combat is almost THE clunkiest thing about it.
Im not talking the literal combat combos and such, but the flow of it combat to get a higher rank, the "do it fast, be badass" kinda of way. I have played Devil May Cry. All of em. Amazing games. Its also why i compared it to Tony Hawk and stringing a long combo of tricks together. When i said that for Sonic, i meant it as Sonic Frontiers feels good to play moving from platform to platform, fight a boss in 3 seconds killing it using 400 combos like Goku and just keep on going, more platforms, 5 enemies taken out in 7 seconds and then boom keep going. Sonic feels great to play. Not saying that Sonic Frontiers Combat is like DMCs combat, but that the games WHOLE GAMPLAY LOOP flow is the same as the Flow of DMCs Combat when you get a SSS Rank. If you get a D rank flailing your arms and get your ass whooped and just being "dead weight" of course it aint anything like what i just explained. its why i also mentioned i high combat rank too. Sorry if that confused ya. But no the combat is DEF not like DMC. DMC has no parry really except Dante and his Royale Guard. Thats why i mentioned Sekiro for Sonics Combat feel. and even then it is EASILY way easier and kinda iffy i know. It was honestly the only thing that came to mind to be honest lmao But yea the combat while clunky is still fun as hell to loop in with the movement across the massive landscape.
Just reached the third island and it’s been great so far, you gotta be crazy to get it on switch though I got both the PS5 and Switch version it’s like two different games

look at the comments, reviews and player reviews on Steam. Im 30, was born in 1992, i was there during it all. Its a good sonic game. Trust us. there is a reason people that are saying "Its sonic, its always gonna be bad" are getting crap for saying that. Its because the game is genuinely one of the best Sonic games we have gotten in a LONG time. Also why are you gonna say its a bad 3D game and then give NO reason as to why? your just saying what others are trying to say. There is a Reason its a 94% on Steam. @@BioAlpha5 I still kinda think that Sonic should be that psychedellic colorful 90's platform game in 2D... It wandered too much from it's original roots... They had to make all the games in the series solid like Mario's...
