Love the video!
I am 6' 2" tall and 275 lbs and my 94 Sambar is my daily driver mine is a 2wd and on interstate will do 75mph
How comfortable does it do 75?
Would it be ok to drive it at 75 for an hour or 2?
How baf does doing 65-75 mph effect mpg?
Only doing 6500 RPM.
Kei trucks are cool, although I bet the Japanese laugh at us for our fascination with their construction equipment. Pretty much anything JDM that we didn't get is cool. Something like this is really all you need for going to the hardware store. The vans or a regular kei car would be a great city runabout if you fit.
This truck is so unique like the Baja, great video
I just bought 2 subaru sambar trucks,I've had a truck and van before love them, love kei cars so much
Im looking into them How did you go about getting one?
@@instantwagner probably imported. i'm looking into getting one as a daily driver, and it's surprisingly cheap to import.
EYYYYY Kei Trucks getting some love!
Had no idea what a K car was thanks Zach
It's a kei car. A k car is different
I live in Japan and I am thinking about picking one of these bad boys up! Cool video!
I like the accessibility of the engine vs the Honda acty ! Four cylinder vs three cylinder of the Honda! I'm a Honda ACTY owner, nice video! 👍 These trucks are perfect for around town or the secondary roads! ❤️
I drove several models of these Kei trucks (and vans!), by Kia (Metro Motors) and Vantage for work. The van drove better and had better seats.
Awesome vid dude…. I didn’t know Matt had so many cupholders in such a tiny space 😂😂😂
I get thirsty
@@obscurerides I’m searching for a water tank that we will install in the truck bed(canoe will go on top of it)😂
Kei Truck FTW
Hey Zack - Nice review! Question: Might you have a source for that cupholder you highlight at the 3:20 mark? It looks like it fits super nice in that little tray space. Thanks in advance!
Really wish I could find one of these with the box truck back. I'm thinking about picking one up and rigging up a canvas wagon cover for one.
Think about how tall modern truck beds are, and how handy it would be to fold one of the bed sides down would be these days
I really wish we could drive the newer models. Anyone claiming this as unsafe has never driven a motorcycle, moped, or biked anywhere.
Very cool Subaru truck of the mid 90s
Your Sambar is super clean. Where did you get it? Did you buy domestically or import it?
A sign of higher mileage is worn pedals it shows these trucks have done far more than owners think this sambar the accelerator pedal is so worn the rubber is no longer on the pedal, Even if they have done over 100,000 kilometres it's still less 2000miles a year on a car nearly 30 years old.
Take my money!
We’re looking for a Sambar 4WD with a manual transmission.
The truck will be used for grunt work around our property
Yesssss
I have a few pictures of the Kei truck.
I've seen some trucks with green "JA" stickers on them, but I can't find any info on them online. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
How tall are you and how well did you fit?
You need to drive a Supercharged model....
Shifting left handed would mess me up
How much horsepower?
38 horsepower
Wth are cup holders really that important? I've never used them.
And also, that flatbed feature isn't exactly unique to kei trucks, in Europe, basically every truck can do that
Uh, if the 660 4 cylinder is behind you I kinda hate to break it to you but so is that transmission....
