The best way to upgrade your sound system is to just add a sound bar system that is Bluetooth. This will work for both music and movies. Simply plug and play. Mount Sub under bunk and mount sound bar on back wall. Most people use their phone to steam music anyway rather than using radio. Go 12" sub or 4" subs hell add 2 subs if you like. Options are plentiful.
hey I have a 2024 Peterbilt 567 it comes with the factory subwoofer under the bunk and the factory stereo. for some reason the sub doesn't work and I think the reason is that the factory stereo doesn't have an option on the audio settings for a sub woofer volume or level. do you have any ideas or thoughts on this?
Check the connection under the bunk. The wiring harness should be connected to a factory plug. I had one on a previous truck (2020 579) and it didn’t require any adjustment to the factory radio.
@@mudroomtoshowroom so when I looked at the wires that go directly into the box. I noticed it kinda seems like someone pulled the wires out a bit. So I grabbed and lightly pulled and the wires came out freely but not all the way out. I’m going to open the box to check
I have the same truck and mine works. You might want to check the connections to everything to ensure it’s working properly. Also pull out the radio and the the connections there as well.
@@knightantwan found the problem…. Blown fuse on the amp inside the subwoofer box. Replaced the 15amp fuse and still didn’t work. So I put a 20 amp fuse and it works but it doesn’t sound like the bass isn’t hitting that much. The speakers “bass” is louder I think I’m just going to get an aftermarket sub,amp & new stereo.
Upegrading the radio will dramatically increase with a aftermarket radio. I think the factory unit is 45x4. The factory sub is a 6" so don't expect much. I'm extremely happy with the setup in the video.@@trehdo9857

What mount are you using to hold you iPad that's right above your stereo???
I got a 2023…. Had it a year… door speakers not so good one of mine is rattling just my take on it
Does the volume button work on the steering wheels ?
With the harness I show in the video no it does not. I haven’t found a harness for the 2 small plugs attached to the harness.
Do you think that I can run my power and ground from the power and ground that’s going to my power inverter instead of going directly to the battery?
I have mine run from the inverter. Power and ground. No issues and don't see any reason why it would.
Im getting on the road with pam and they use the 579s so you're saying to just replace instead of the speakers like 1000 percent?
Yes!. I've had no issues with the higher wattage radio and factory speakers. I think the stock radio is 15w per channel.
Yep just the head. The speakers will take much more than the factory radio
Where is the apps located on the 2020 T680 with premium s Sound
