When my wife and I went to Japan we had Matsuya nearly day, a beef bowl in the morning would fill us up for the whole day. It was cheap and deeeeeliiiiicious

I used to love getting off the overnight bus in Shinjuku from Okayama, finding a 24hour Matsuya and having meal #1. It is an experience that can't be beat.

Thank you for another excellent clip. I had lunch two times a week for years in a Matsuya in Fukuoka, always very good and cheap. The vending machines have evolved over the years, but still very easy, now digital pics, different languages and credit card. Loved the beef bowl with a raw egg on top. I recreate it here in Europe, comes out very similar :-) Matsuya is highly recommended for anyone who visit Japan.
