How to burn ps2 cd games

So I’m just starting to get into this kinda stuff I now know what I need and what to do. However my only question is I see people burn ps2 games on dvdr and cdr like this video. I’m not sure what the difference is. Is there a specific disc that works for any ps2 games? Also is there certain games that certain discs will work to burn on and others that won’t?

Said simply, some smaller ps2 games are on cd-roms (blue discs, look up a picture of ps2 cd based games) while most are just normal dvd roms. The problem is that the cd based games cannot be burned on dvd's, and vice versa.

But it's easier to softmod the ps2 rather then burning games to a dvd , because you'll have to repeat the process over and over again , I softmoded mine lately , playing dbz budokai tenkaichi 3 :)
