Will these words live within the hearts and minds of the people? Will we believe in this as a country again?

If only this was the philosophy of every world leader.... if only. "Soldiers, don't fight for slavery, fight for freedom".

Even better if we believed these words as a world. As long as people hear these words and tell themselves "It's not real now, therefore it could never be real" it won't ever happen. It takes work, and it takes change. And there are some people who work less than others and are pretty comfortable where they are... so why bother, especially if these people also hold a lot of power to make policy? All of us need to realize that we each have the power to either make it work by working towards it... and it will not happen in our generation or lifetimes, but in the future. Or we can live in comfort with the way things are now.... working to ensure that when people say it's insipid, it's truth. Some have already chosen the truth they want to fulfill. Some have hope that someone else will do it for them. The questions are which truth do you want to work towards, and are you willing to do the work?

It was insipid then and it's insipid now. The Three Stooges was better.
