    If I lived on the western side of Philadelphia and had enough money I would move to phoenixville or Radnor they're the most scenic and if I lived on the Jersey side it would be haddonfield for walkability or if I wanted less traffic it would have been Medford lakes where everybody has a house on the lake. North of Philadelphia I would live in warminster or Warrington but if I had even more money it would be Newtown

    What about some of the nice NJ suburbs of Philadelphia?!?! And good luck getting into Swarthmore . . . its one of the top colleges in the country.

    • @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs
      @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are some nice suburbs in NJ just outside of Philadelphia. My channel, however, talks about all the suburbs in Pennsylvania to help people who are relocating to the state of PA near Philadelphia. I may start to add some NJ content in the future if that could be helpful for people on the fence of considering NJ vs PA.

      I thought this too, places like Collingswood and Haddonfield are 15-20 minutes by train to Center City, much closer than any of the PA burbs.

    And Malvern? I was looking for a home for rent, around 1,700- 2,000, tops. I don't drive, would need to be near train etc
    Older, single, no kids. Have pets. I love a wooded area. Quiet, yet near a town.

    Is the rent for a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartment?

    • @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs
      @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the average rental amount. It factors in all 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom apartments/houses.
      Are you looking for a rental?

    This is the Main Line, not just "suburbs." These areas are pricey.

  • @maryherje7120
    @maryherje7120 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What do you mean by, or what is mainline area?

    • @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs
      @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main line suburbs are the towns that run along Route 30. Berwyn, Ardmore, Wynnewood, Bryn Mawr, etc

    • @bonniewills2814
      @bonniewills2814 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The mainline references the railroad's main line going west out of Philly. Back in the day, most of the traffic went west towards Chicago and eventually California, so this was considered the main or primary line. Route 30 parallels the rail line.

    • @wolfythewolf4457
      @wolfythewolf4457 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's in reference to the train they all centered around, formerly PRR's "Main Line", now SEPTA's Paoli-Thorndale line.

      @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your comment! Septa is available in most areas around the Philadelphia Suburbs if you're needing public transportation via bus or train. There is also Uber & lyft as well 😄

    • @design-flux
      @design-flux 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@livinginphiladelphiasuburbs so I just want to be clear; you highlighted the driving options but didn’t bother to highlight any public transit options. For example, Exton had a prominent regional rail station that connects you directly to Philadelphia without the mess of I76. Also Uber and Lyfts to these areas are at least 40-50 dollars one way. I live in one of the suburbs you highlighted, so I know first hand.
