    I think I need a "Best & Most Affordable Lancaster Neighborhoods"! Haha

      Lol totally get that. Affordable to everyone is different, so it's tough to pinpoint that exactly!

      @@LancasterLiving I think a video that highlights some neighborhoods/areas for people or families on a budget ($300k and under). Additionally, I’d like to see more new construction communities as well.
      I live in MD and am curious about this area, so perhaps featuring some neighborhoods close to shopping, dining, and parks? Just suggestions!

    Could you do a video with a rundown of each township and highlight a few neighborhoods and local points of interest for Hempfield, CV, MT etc?

      Sounds like fun! That’s a lot of videos 😅 will add them to my list!

    You’re showing southern buildings in LC as being in Chestnut Hill? I love the houses there.

    • @LancasterLiving
      @LancasterLiving  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! All the buildings shown in the Chestnut Hill portion are in Chestnut Hill. Other than a few glimpses of downtown when referring to downtown.

    Do any of the custom home builders in Lancaster build 1000 sq ft homes in those nice neighborhoods? Or are they all larger?

    • @LancasterLiving
      @LancasterLiving  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Some neighborhoods it’s possible, but these nicer ones usually have deed restrictions for minimum square footage requirements

    You showed all the places that are now well over million dollar homes. You didn’t show the “castle” that houses 760 to 800 residents depending on the season.

    • @LancasterLiving

      These are areas where we are getting a lot of questions about. Chestnut Hill in the city does not have million+ estates.
      We are also working on another video highlighting more affordable but popular neighborhoods

    How about showing homes or cottages in the country/farmland for people on a budget? Not all of us can afford mansions like these and the homes are too tightly packed together for someone who likes space and privacy.

    • @LancasterLiving
      @LancasterLiving  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Sue, good question. Many times those properties aren’t in neighborhoods, so wouldn’t be easy to showcase in a video. These are just popular ones that we get asked about all the time. But we have been asked about more affordable neighborhood options and it’s on my to-do list to highlight!

    I’m telling you now. I know people who been living in The so called Chestnut Hill neighborhood for so long ..they weren’t even calling it that. Then we were all informed oh it’s always been that … well I’m telling you don’t come here There is no affordable housing for people that are already here. They are raise the rents so high to get rid of people who have lived and rented for generations then flip and sell to you. We will never sell our family home here. We sold one. Saw it sell again for 5 times the price paid. Greedy gentrification flippers and don’t care about those left in the wake take a tour to the south side. Flipped displaced people. Where’s everyone going.

    Sidewalks not the norm? Or does it depend?

    • @LancasterLiving
      @LancasterLiving  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on the neighborhood! More mature neighborhoods don’t have them as much (outside of the city) but have wider streets as a trade off. Newer neighborhoods have tighter streets, but with sidewalks

    Way over priced for the area. Sorry Been going to Lancaster for 20 years now and While it's a nice place to vacation it's not worth 500k or more. SOwwy

    • @LancasterLiving
      @LancasterLiving  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Do you think SoCal is worth the $3m+ for a STARTER home? Or DC area is north of a million for an interior townhouse with no view and no access to metro?
      Lancaster’s average sale price is in the low 300s, but there are many people willing to spend more for a nicer/larger house. And the job market/salaries do support it + work from home and the influx of people coming from more expensive markets.
      Hard to say it’s “worth it” or not, because home price is a function of means and preference, not directly a function of desirability
