This video is laughably inaccurate. I live in Jenkintown and even a year ago these numbers are completely wrong. Good luck finding a house in this town under 500k. And I’ve spent time in Phoenixville too and those numbers are also bonkers. If you’re looking to live in either of these places, find someone who knows a bit more about each of these markets. Good luck!

I live in Philadelphia, way up north right on the Bucks County line. My neighborhood is pretty nice. I don't have children in school and so that's not an issue. What bothers me the most about living in Philadelphia is the beverage tax, having to buy my own grocery bags in some grocery stores, the public transportation not being safe, the crime and the parking problem. South Philly and Center City are the worst places when it comes to parking. I used to live in South Philly and my car got towed a few times and that was a drag. If I have to travel into the downtown district I have to take regional rail because I feel unsafe on the subway and El trains. Regional rail is much safer. I don't feel safe walking around the downtown district because there were so many incidents that I just stopped walking around. The beggers in the downtown district are also a problem because they can become aggressive. There are some neighborhoods in Philadelphia that I wouldn't drive through let alone walk around in.

It’s horrible. #3 Only true in Center City (and some parts of South Philly) and even there You just have to get creative with your parking #4 What about Fairmount Park? It’s almost a large as Central Park in NY. What about Valley Green? Morris Arboretum? Just have to know where to go. # 5 I’ll take the added tax plus $1200- 1700 per year sales tax over $2500 - $4000 yearly tax though. #6 Ok, You got me here too. The traffic is way worse (because it’s more condensed) BUT drivers in the ‘burns are JUST as aggressive… just not as noticeable because it’s less condensed)

I like to visit King of Prussia mall sometimes because it's so big and nice. A good change of pace from Philadelphia life.... People are more civilized on the outskirts and if I could afford it I would definitely move to King of Prussia/ Norristown area in my opinion.

You forgot to mention the Jersey Devil. He has an EZ-Pass and loves Society Hill. 🤷‍♂️

Doylestown is probably one of the best suburbs on the East coast. It has remarkable history and old charm and very rich in arts and culture.

Two more things. Rush hour is rush period. 3ish-7pm bumper to bumper 3:30-6:15. And as far as crazy people driving? They will cut you off and dart back out of the lane. And don't even think about road rage. You'll get shot arguing with the wrong person

And I forgot about snow. They don't close schools for 4-6 inches. And banks and stores don't close or close early because of the snow😂

In Chicago every winter there are below zero days. It is common to get in the -20's. The windchill can easily be -30 or -40. You have to leave your water dripping all during the period or else your pipes are likely to burst. It's so cold that at some point you feel warm. Frostbite is starting maybe? I don't know? Ever tried to breathe in and your nose hair's freeze? Scales tax is 9-10% and there is a sales tax on clothes unlike Philly. 😂

Why am I watching this I’ve lived here my whole life 😂

I spent 26 years in Ardmore and three in Narberth. Ardmore is unbearable now. Multiple, hugely out-of-place, eight-story buildings, totally jammed streets, the loss of so many long-time small businesses, comical parking...nope, I do not miss it! They wanted to bring the Big City to Ardmore. They certainly did.

Good video. I love living here. There is a great feeling of community with the culture and diversity of the city at a slower pace. The school district has been fantastic for our family, I have a son with special needs and they have gone above and beyond setting him up with the best care and education. It's a great place for young professionals and families!

I was very amused to see your estimated time of 18 minutes on the Schuylkill Expressway from Conshohocken to Philadelphia. With the usual traffic, it's really about 55 minutes (and sometimes over an hour).

Was born and raised in Perkasie till I got married and moved to Langhorne in 1977. We lived in a house on north 5th street that my father built after WW2. I can remember when they put up the first traffic light in town. It was such a big deal. The town has changed a lot from being sleepy country town ( where a local farmer used to take his cow for a walk out 5th street)to a more urban one. It still retains the country character though. It was a great place to grow up in the 1950’s and 60’s.

Just found your TH-cam channel. Been living in the Hilltown Township area most of my life and graduated from Pennridge. Then I pursued an associate degree at BCCC. Some of classes were at the Perkasie campus which saved alot of time commuting. I witnessed the Great Fire of Perkasie first hand while riding my bike to Lesher's to play D and D with my friends. Never got to play that day since it was already on fire. Luckily everyone got out in time. I took swimming lessons in my youth at Menlo and later worked at the concession stand. My mom ran the snack shop at the Little League fields on Walnut and my younger brother worked many years at RagTops and Roadsters. Like yourself I have always appreciated the walking paths throughout the park.
