Thank you for responding. I 100% agree with you this lens is great for macro video. I purchased the A6700 for my son at university a few weeks ago. How is the reach on the crop sensor of the 6700? Great channel by the way.
@@markthecre8tor usually I buy something camera related and I regret it for some reason. That did not happen with the A6700. This small thing is amazing. Your son is lucky! When I don't do macro video I pair it with a Sigma 18-50. I love it! 😍

Reviews get so dull usually. Pleasure to watch your presentation, edit and style. Thank you for the review. Been wondering about this. I love macro photograohy but i earn my living through video. Conflicted whether to buy it.

Even though I have not used it much for photography I can see it will do a great job in that area, for video I think it is due for a refresh or at least a cost reduction due to its age. With that being said I have to wonder if newer tech and faster quieter motors would add more due to the narrow depth of field for this type of lens. With that being said macro for photos or video is really fun. If you can catch it on sale the purchase does not sting as much as paying full price.

This is my new favourite lens for macro videography since a month now. I pair it with my also new Sony A6700.
