Take a look at the project here: easyeda.com/Joyvel/blinker-va...
This is a very simple but useful project, strobe navigation lights for RC airplanes, or you can adjust the flashing time and make it a warning light for a forklift or even a turn signal light for a car, it is completely adjustable for a wide variety of uses.

Outside of the desire for strobe count/pause duration, having it with it's own integrated on off/regulator would be awesome. But at this point I would just go ahead and go all the way with your plans and build one that also accommodates alternating (left to right) and also a beacon into the system. Might as well just make a true "all in one system" at this point. I am sure it would be very profitable with those nice 1 watt LED units. All the others are lack one thing or another, but one of the main issues is the lack of quality "bright" LED's. Anyhow, thanks for developing this. Count me in for purchasing all of your work. I just bought some things.

@@Joyplanes I have a challenge for you. Could you make a Cartboard airplane, meduim in size, but "anti-stall". Let me explain. The plane must naturally want to climb up, so when it dives, it can recover from that. But, when it goes to much up, in a stall pitch, there a MECHANICAL mechanism that puches the elevator down, to make it level.
      Without using electronics, or RC.

You could always add a 5v regulator at the input if you wanted to power the circuit from higher voltages. I've used them successfully in my projects where the input voltage is 9v, and I am mostly using the circuit to time and light LEDs.

A small correction to one of your statements, Yes JLCPCB does solder through hole components. I have had boards made by them with Hand soldered and smd components on board and they did a great job.

    Loved it totally,
I made one similar which was based on PIC based MCU
however yours is way simpler than using a MCU.
2:32 the resistor you soldered is 1K ohm and not a 3K as told or 3.6K ohm as shown in BOM material .
Hope to see your next version soon.

It's an old idea but improved with the use of LEDs. I did this in 1976 with a RC model glider, Cirrus, fully fitted with two small xenon flash tubes running on a 9v battery. It had a tiny red incadecent light on top of the tail tip and small red + green at the tip of its wings that remained on during flight. I was able to fly at night without problems. I then used the same lights and strobe on my 5 feet Kavan Jet Ranger helicopter (not sure if you people of today know that Kavan, a model manufacturing company in Germany, was very popular, made scale helicopters in the 70 to 80s. It was then transferred to his daughter somewhere in late 80s in the US. Don't know it it still exists.)
The Bell Jet Ranger helicopter looked realistic that, from a distance you couldn't tell if it was a real helicopter or a toy with all the working tiny lights and flashing xenons and the sound of its size 60 OS engine.

This is great and thank you for the work. As a ship modeler this is going to work great for a base and thank you for your efforts. With some navigation on models there is double navigation lights. So the Red and Green are say a 1 sec pulse while a white navigation set is at a 0.5 sec pulse. But at the 1 sec pulse all the lights blink together. So I wonder if there is a way to split the signal or something to do this sequence timing.

Would this setup be viable to install in a costume mask where we want two UV LEDs, 12v I think they are, to stay illuminated for 3-4 seconds then blink off for .5 seconds and repeat on loop.. giving the illusion of the eye lids opening and closing in the darkness?

Excellent work, mate - you must have been reading my mind! Should you plan on putting this up for sale in your web store, count me in! (Otherwise, please let us know how we can contribute to you when ordering directly from the manufacturer.)
If you want to take this to the next level, you might want to consider a double flash option as on the wingtips and stern strobes of many airliners (like two short flashes followed by a pause: ___x_x__________x_x__________x_x____ ).

    • @Joyplanes
      @Joyplanes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Yes once I fix the issues and make a stable version I put it up on the store, and I was also thinking about the digital version that can be activated from the receiver and have double flash or maybe other modes.
