Her magnificent voice, her arrangement of this classic, her posing, the setting, the piano, her story telling ability. After listening to it you understand you just saw and heard something fantastic but you realize you will have to go back to listen to it again, and again, and again (maybe one time with your eyes closed), to fully grasp the multitude of dimensions she put into her performance. To me, I equate it to the time I first heard her sing 'The Yellow Brick Road'. Debra, I believe we have just turned another page in her on going journey. She is nonstop in producing sounds which keep separating her from the field. Yes, we can always go back to whenever we want to and enjoy what she has sung to us. But, hold onto your hat because she is getting much closer to shifting into high gear. Remember when Heidi hit the golden buzzer and all the confetti came tumbling down like snow flakes. Something like that is going to reoccur. Not on a talent show. It will be a showcase moment for everyone on the planet Earth to feel the love in her heart when she sings 'for us' and to us.

I was surprised to find the other day that Angelina was actually singing this song back in 2014 when she was 8 years of age. There's a rehearsal video almost 10 minutes long where she attempts unsuccessfully to get the song launched a couple of times and then she does two complete run throughs, all while people are trudging onto the stage for sound checks or whatever. Okay, I watched Alice Fredenham just now to compare her performance to Angelina singing My Funny Valentine. She was fine but honestly, she can't compare to Angelina. What I notice right away is that she tried harder, with less to show for it. Angelina doesn't have to do anything but open her mouth and it flows like sweet honey. No matter what she sings. I put this on pause and brought up Sinatra, Bublé, Streisand, Fitzgerald and Vaughan's version of this song to compare it to AJ version, and none of them moved me like this version. I wish she would make an album called "Ten Years Later" and have Funny Valentine, Unchained Melody, Feeling Good, Every time We Say, Goodby, Still Holding Out For You, Dream A Little Dream Of Me, Fly Me To The Moon, I'd Rather Go Blind, Over The Rainbow, Summertime. There are many she did when she was 11 that are my favorites too, but we would have to wait the next year for those.

I want to see your reaction because it was a beautiful performance, but Angelina is in a class of her own because of her voice and because you feel that she is expressing her most intimate feelings and that is pure art. Her album should be released before her concert in Norway July 1st. and 10th. so it can be purchased on the spot.

@@artfartzy I'm actually hoping for vinyl myself. However I am holding out buying a turntable at Target til we see. I know that Adele's people ordered 500,000 to start off. Republic Records could start with maybe only 50,000. Since Angelina is not well known to mainstream buyers they should get her on as many talk shows as possible, and sales will pick up.. She will not be a overnight sensation like Adele's album "30" was.

Okay, I watched Alice Fredenham just now to compare her performance to Angelina singing My Funny Valentine. She was fine but honestly, she can't compare to Angelina. What I notice right away is that she tried harder, with less to show for it. Angelina doesn't have to do anything but open her mouth and it flows like sweet honey. No matter what she sings. No effort at all.
This is her superpower, yes. Well explained: ... flows like (warm 😉) sweet honey... 👌🏼 And Simon said the same to Alice as to Angelina, after the Golden Buzzer for bohemian Rapsody: "...you don't know, how good you are..." I always thaught , in the case of Angelina he was wrong, be3cause she really knows. So she can be relaxed like she is on stage. She's got a musical message to convey. Not time for eartly doubts...
Alice Fredenham is who you are thinking of and I loved that performance and it was, repeat was, my favorite version. Angelina now owns this song! IMO, this is her best performance to date. The voice has such a maturity. Angelina is today's "THE QUEEN OF JAZZ". btw that 10 year old performance still gets me a little emotional.
Yes Frank. That was the performance that had all those judges mesmerized. I have to say, she got me as well. But this, is an all new level for the song as well as Angelina. LOVE LOVE LOVE her. And she gets me too with her 10 year old version
I put this on pause and brought up Sinatra, Bublé, Streisand, Fitzgerald and Vaughan's version of this song to compare it to AJ version, and none of them moved me like this version. It is so hard to comprehend that Angelina from 7 to 16 is the greatest story telling being in my 74 years of experiencing great vocalist and I can't wait for the rest of the story.

The Angelina version from 6 years ago was my favorite before this. Before that one, there is another worthwhile to listen to. That was my favorite before I knew Angelina.

Please also react to Dimash Qudaibergen singing Lionel Richie’s Hello & his Know Vocalise, SOS & many others.
