I am German living over in Germany and I never miss a show or YT-video of Jimmy Kimmel. I love his sense of humor, his insight into wordly things and his warmth and commitment to his family. I wept with him over his sorrow and I am happy to see the family being well. And yes, like so many others commented, I too would like to see more videos of "Jimmy, the Chef". All my best wishes to Jimmy, his lovely wife and to his gorgeous kids (all four of them).

Hi Jimmy, I live in Finland and when this first came out, I sent it to my friend here in Helsinki, who, I found out later, had started making it regularly. She has now moved 4½ hrs away to a town called Joensuu so last week I went t visit her for the first time, and guess what she served? It was DELICIOUS as usual. We love you and your home, family and vibes when you all interact.
buonissimo, so many favorite quotes: Starter pasta, parmesan recommendation, etc. My Nonna had a pan she used to fry food every night. It was so crooked from her scrubbing it for two hours every night, that she had to balance the handle on another pot. And it would end up like his did. BTW I was the one who ended up with the garlic clove in my mouth. Best Ital-Am cooking video!
Hey Jimmy just got down eating your recipe "Pasta tina " us Italian called Pastina LOL. I made a pound of ditalini , me and wife hate the whole thing. Grazie per la ricetta. Stay safe you and your "famiglia".
Just made it. It was a huge success. Our little ones loved it. Thanks for the recipe! Makes life easier. Haha. One tip: canned beans should be rinsed to avoid all the unhealthy preservatives.
I’m zero percent Italian, but I like this idea of putting some extra stuff in there and blending it. Adding those hard boiled eggs from Easter and some kale from the garden. I’ll let you know how that goes.
I never watched the late show because I’m an early sleeper but now I’m watching him consistently. Love seeing him in his environment too. Great recipe, I will definitely be trying it!
Yum, I might try that for myself! Lol 😂 I know a mom who does that exact same thing with white beans, and adds them to her kids Mac and cheese! They have no idea. But they eat very healthy, so she adds much less cheese because of the creaminess of the beans. I’m not a Mac and cheese fan, at all, but this looks really good with the garlic and some fresh grated parm! I’m impressed Jimmy!! :)) 👍
Jerry Seinfeld's wife wrote an entire cook book on how to hide vegetables in food so the kids are eating more vegetables. She purees them and puts them in cookies and brownies and everything. You should check it out.

Mike Walker he’s the only one that’s worth watching consistently
I finally made this! I cooked more garlic than is called for. I also added the garlic, olive oil and can of beans to a blender with some cracked pepper. I used macaroni. I had fresh grated Parm, but you really don't even need it. I used Better Than Boullion for the soup base and only a teaspoon as it is pretty concentrated.
I was born and grew up on Long Island, the daughter of two Texans (think culture clash), next door to an Italian-Greek family.
The food next door was outstanding! They were always trying to fatten me up, especially when both grandmas came to visit and took over the kitchen. Anyway, pasta Tina, or pastina, was a favorite of mine. Love the moniker “starter pasta”!
Thanks for the memories!
❤️❤️❤️
Reminds me of the old Sgt. Bilko show with a commercial for "Eeeaaa, pastina!"
love his kitchen...looks like a cozy normal household kitchen....
His home looks like a normal house. I’m surprised.
L Katz that’s probably a guest house kitchen on his property. He is super rich and has a huge mansion.
I was thinking maybe it's a second home that they decided to get away to.
@@faraha2826 Perhaps. Also keep in mind just how expensive housing cost in different cities. In Boston, it's hard to find any house under $800k, and even houses for $1 million tend to have not so great exteriors, uneven floors, often times mice, etc. For $2 million, you can have a really nice place.
@@faraha2826 yeah i was thinking that too! Definitely the guest house. Hes been doing a lot of filming in there, and Fallon has been too! I think its smart, that way they can keep some things private
Has to be a vaca home
I never thought about if a stick blender would fit in a can before! 😮🤭
Probably dont. The protective coating inside a can is pretty delicate. It's not that hard to take it out of the can first.
I forget I have one
I need to get used to one.
lol that was my first thought too. i worried it will get trapped in the can . Good job Jimmy.
The sound was worth it,Buddy Bob. To see the kids eat it. Made my day to find this doable recipe. TY
When the quarantine is over, let's not tell some people
😄😂🤣
My goodness, you’re a genius 👍👍👍
I agree
I didn't get it. Dear Can you please explain it to me????
@@haroonmushtaq1287 Some people, like Jimmy, are doing a better job in quarantine than otherwise.
Oka but seriously, I’m going to make this now, why did this look SO GOOD? Also Jimmy, PLEASE MAKE MORE COOKING VIDS!
Wheres the vegetables?
@@sunseeker9581 There's two little kids actually eating their dinner instead of using it in a food fight.
Let's not spoil the moment.
Did you like greens when you were that age?
So sweet of you to share this with us..and you even typed out the recipe..🥰🥰...thank you jimmy..such a lovely thing to see during this time..your kids are adorable..
Jimmy is cute with his kids. Having a sense of humour helps
Just an idea, maybe if the garlic can be blended into the beans after it has been browned so that the children can eat the garlic and it adds more flavour too.
I Agree
@@Х81-д4с I agree too and garlic has so many antiviral properties to it. I eat it every day.. and I never get sick
As a kid, I hated garlic, especially if there was too much of it in my food.
I don't think I accepted garlic in my food untill my late teens.
Not y'all's recipe, it's Jimmy's. He doesn't have to change anything.
Yesss totally agree! 🙌🏻
Love baby Jane
Such a smart cute and mature little girl
Jimmy interviewing celebrities
Audience: Meh
Jimmy making pasta
Audience: Wow, amazing, Jimmy is a true chef
I don't what to say but expecting a reply from you
🤣🤣🤣🤣Exactly... The worst
Not a true chef but definitely more wholesome
Looks like he's actually done this before. It isn't just something made up for the show. huh.
He does love to cook! All his close friends are chefs
Yes he was on Ellen's at home show and she was asking questions (I forget the question) but he brought up this being his kids favorite meal and that they ask for it at every meal. Then Ellen asked him if he would make a video on how to make it. That's why he said this video was requested by someone right at the beginning.
He is ugly but funny
I just made this and it came out great! And it tastes even better as leftovers!
This is what we will all do for the next 2 months in quarantine.
you mabey!
This and learning how to make cocktails
2 months??! Where the hell do you live?
@@Max-ip1gw maybe Michigan? 🤣🤣 those people are setting the whole state back at least another 2 weeks today. Ugh.🤦♂️
@@Max-ip1gw Where else then HK.;-; I'm sad.
I shall cook this later for supper Jimmy! Saves me the brain energy of thinking of a menu, and as it’s Italian I know it’s going to taste good (without the blood). 😁🇺🇸🏴🌻
The chicken bleed for that "chicken base". Hopefully you'll be opting for the no blood [veggie base].
I don't normally like Jimmy Kimmel, but I've been really liking him at home!
I agree, never watch the show but look for this every day.
This is a perfect home cooking video.
I love how his place isn’t so huge and fancy compared to these youtubers who just splurge on 4 story houses for just only 2 ppl
Let me burst your bubble. Jimmy's house is huge and his kitchen is huge. This is a secondary basement kitchen or carriage house.
Yeah its the guest house my dude
I like the hack of using the immersion blender directly in the can. I'd never thought of that.
When kids said it's good, I believe it's good.
i now realize that i have been waiting for this recipe ever since the ellen interview
Yummy recipe... thanks! I minced my garlic, left it in, used bowtie pasta and a chicken bouillon cube, added black pepper. Nice way to eat more beans!
I assume his wife’s doing the camera work - excellent job! She should get paid for all future ‘gigs.’
Jimmy's wife is
head writer on his Show. Molly is a fan of The Bachelor on abc. She helps decide the predictions on who the final 2 or 3 contsstants on Bachelor & Bachelorette!
"All the best recipes have garlic in them" YES JIMMY!!
I watched this when it first came out. What a year it’s been. Jimmy at home kept me as sane as possible. And I loved the recipe!
Jimmy, I add my vote to the showing us more of your cooking prowess. Also, your kids are very cute.
I’m just trying to imagine what Gordon Ramsay would say with the tilted pan . It gave me anxiety
Honestly, that is a recipe for a grease fire.
Lol, I had the same thought about that and using the hand mixer directly in the can. But hey, that's real life parenting sometimes. 😁
What's wrong with that??
@@holdmyweight3597 the pan could slip and the oil would get in the flame below. and you know right oil + flame equals to? A FIRE loll
Looks like he's done it several times ... no problem.
This is just awesome! You’re a great dad and this video was beautiful to watch
I was genuinely worried Jane wouldn't eat it because she overheard there were beans in it.
I had to go make this after watching the video, and I wasn't even hungry when I started watching this. It was really good and super easy. I also added fresh lemon juice and crushed red pepper. Really, really delicious.
Jane is the greatest kid of all time!! Adorable with the best personality! Big fan!
This family is real, not too fancy. They live like average middle class Americans. I love it. I love them all.
One thing about this time we are all living through, we get to see the real side of celebrities, this sharing of homelife by our wonderful court jesters, our late night comedians/ hosts is so nice. Jimmy even takes us into homes of other celebs. Everyone in real time living the shut down together. Jimmy, you are the best. Thank you Jimmy & Family. God bless you ALL. STAY SAFE, STAY WELL... We need you. You are very important.
They aren't going to flaunt their wealth to you lol. Nothing middle class about them.
search up their house its massive and in a celebrity area
you are a victim of propaganda by kimmel lol
Whether the homes are palatial or not, they are still real people, they are just like everyone else except they have more $. Most came from real people, humble backgrounds, some not, but they are real. They shower or not, shave for not, get up, feed kids, deal with life... I appreciate them, tacky wallpaper and all.
I agree. I LOVE JIMMY AND THE KIDS ARE SO ADORABLE...JUST LOVE HIS LITTLE BOY AND HIS DAUGJTER IS JUST TOO CUTE TOO..YOUR DOING GREAT JIMMY..HELPING TO LIFT MY SPIRITS AFTER BEING HOME FOR OVER A MONTH..YOUR THE BEST AND THANKS MOLLY FOR ALL U DO..STAY STAFF U GUYS..GOD BLESS U 🙏💓😷
@@mariansmith7694 I totally agree with you on all counts. He's a Jem
How does someone's get the audacity to dislike the viedo despite of this dangerous pandemic time they are putting effort just to entertain us thankyou Jimmy for the effort stay safe everyone ❤
Unfortunately, there are a lot of stupid idiots out there.
I know eh? So bizarre when he is such a sweet man. I am going to make this dish now! Yummy!
Any time I see thumbs down on a post I have to believe they are just part of society that spends their life clicking on video's, and giving every one they see a thumbs down for kicks. It is how they get their Jollies in life, Very Sad life really, if you watch honest heart felt love for family and others, and then turn your thumb down to it. Haters gotta Hate, it is there nature.
I mean there’s nothing dangerous about making pasta
Hi Jimmy, I live in Finland and when this first came out, I sent it to my friend here in Helsinki, who, I found out later, had started making it regularly. She has now moved 4½ hrs away to a town called Joensuu so last week I went t visit her for the first time, and guess what she served? It was DELICIOUS as usual. We love you and your home, family and vibes when you all interact.
Look at this man saving lives this morning thank you so much for this
A. You need a cooking show.
B. You blew my mind with the garlic in oil trick.
LBJ Media he mentioned that this is his only recipe 😂😂
I'm totally in on that new garlic trick. Brilliant.
I just wanted to eat the garlic.
It’s been 5 months since your comment. Have you burnt your house down yet?
Garlic trick is horrible. Dangerous, unnecessary, sliced garlic would have released more flavor, etc.
this is such a delicious recipe. I never used the beans as a sauce before I saw this, now I love it!
You need to blend those garlic cloves in with the beans!
Hell no!
Naa just crush it with side of knife then fry it. It will be super soft after being cooked.
jen callahan Just cut it up, and scrape with salt to make a puree with

As a NY Italian who just moved down South, Trader Joe's has decent parmesan for anyone who doesn't have access to any delis.
buonissimo, so many favorite quotes: Starter pasta, parmesan recommendation, etc. My Nonna had a pan she used to fry food every night. It was so crooked from her scrubbing it for two hours every night, that she had to balance the handle on another pot. And it would end up like his did. BTW I was the one who ended up with the garlic clove in my mouth. Best Ital-Am cooking video!
My heart smiles every time I see Billy ❤️
Apparently this is his take on pasta for children without using the fake Kraft Mac and Cheese. Good idea.
Thank for the hand blender tip! Awesome !
"Good parmesan cheese is [...] good for your life"
Any good cheese, really.
This would never have occurred to me- it looks simple, healthy and tasty AND it uses ingredients I always have in the pantry....Thx Jimmy!
I never watched the late show because I’m an early sleeper but now I’m watching him consistently. Love seeing him in his environment too. Great recipe, I will definitely be trying it!
Give Kimmel a nobel prize: I finally learned how to easily peel garlic!
rubbing them in your hands also works very well
Yum, I might try that for myself! :)) 👍
Gonna try that trick on mac n cheese, thanks for the tip!
Jerry Seinfeld's wife wrote an entire cook book on how to hide vegetables in food so the kids are eating more vegetables. She purees them and puts them in cookies and brownies and everything. You should check it out.
liz Armenta Anytime..Lol I thought it was brilliant, as well..:)
