I still remember the first times i played Sonic 3 AIR and kept trying to get into the Knuckles areas with Hyper Sonic just to realize that some rocks can't be broken even by Hyper Sonic, but only with Knuckles which mechanic-wise doesn't really make sense

If you are doing it in the classic game then yeah it will happen. The game registers it as something (forgot what it was exactly). In Sonic 3 AIR thats taken away.

But I've been wanting to make a mod that swaps sonic and knuckles, including their routes, the level order, and even some small changes to the super and hyper forms like pallets and maybe actually changes to the sprite, like maybe making sonics super and hyper form just glow, and his quills stay down. But for knuckles, the end of his quills could spike up a bit or something and instead of just glowing for his super form, it sparkles pink and he can actually jump higher or smthn. And his hyper form will make him glow like sonics does. might have to use some mods like "knuckles goes though all levels" and "original zone order" to change the zone order. And also the "custom super and hyper palletes for this and knuckles." And maybe if possible, sonic and tails will replace knuckles and tails. but eh, idk if that would be really possible tho

No, its the knuckles one, but the player did'nt give the bot the chance to get to the top and trow bombs

I tried it in origins & for some reason you can't really take the knuckles path as sonic & / or tails in hydrocity
Origins is a bad Sega product.
Sonic 3 AIR is a fan-remake of the original Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
