Why do fans have to to put down old or new games to uplift the others? They come together nicely to tell what is at first a tragic downfall of a man ridden with guilt of what he’s done and seeks revenge on those who wronged him, to a wiser and calmer person after being lucky enough to have a 2nd chance at life. He’s learned from his past mistakes to become a genuinely good person willing to reason with and help others…a stark contrast from the horrific monster he once saw himself as even as far as GoW 1. Kratos has been a great a character from GoW 1 to now, and it’s weird how fans try to say he either was ruined by the new games, or had no depth in the older ones.
I didn't realize that that new games have more intriguing dialoge was a hot take. The old games aren't bad, far from it, but the new games definitely have them beat in dialoge.
No, it's basically the style in which they speak. Having the characters speak in a sort of medieval dialect does a good job of accentuating the setting of the story. And I do love the new games, but everyone is talking as if they were born no earlier than 1980.
