I recently had these changed and notice a small darker area discoloration towards the back of the fuel pump top. I'm guessing that some fuel is leaking out the back of the pump. What would cause such a minor leak? Gas cannot be smelled in the cabin but outside near the rear driver side tire it can. Is the gasket the likely culprit for such a leak?
PLEASE HELPP!!!! 2010 c300 4matic sport CEL CAME ON! To rich to lean and misfires! I changed the MAF SENSOR & engine air filter. Light popped back on ! Thought it would be fuel injectors changed fuel injectors! Light popped back on ! NOW I scanned at autozone for oxygen sensors! I replaced all o2 sensors & all spark plugs! THE CEL LIGHT POPPED BACK ON AND CODES STILL SAY MISFIRE & too rich to lean! But everything is brand new what could this bee?!?!?
Sounds like an engine misfire. I would check spark, fuel and compression on all cylinders. Once you isolate what part of the combustion process is causing the misfire, you can identify the root cause.
I don't do this often but, thank you for the short, clear and concise narration with arrows. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad we could help.

My w204 2012 has a knocking issue the mechanic said it’s bcz of faulty fuel do you think if that’s a right diagnosis ?
If fuel volume / pressure is low, it could be. Call a few shops and ask for a quote. It is also a good idea to have them confirm what the issue is.
Can you do the filter and sending unit on the driver side
What is the year and model of vehicle are you working on? I can see if I have that info.
Great video, helped a lot, but I have a different kinda of fuel pump, and idek how to take it out now, tragic

Hello, I changed the fuel filter, car is running smooth and no leaks but gauge wont detect fuel level.
This could be a faulty sending unit in the tank or an issue with the wiring to the sending unit.

Most times this is a hairline crack in the housing or a line.
@@pelicanparts you would be able to see liquid if there’s a hairline crack though right?
Will fuel tank prevent car from turning all the way over
Yes. it can.

So my car doesn't have that strange ring I have rings bolted down with 10 mm nuts
2011 c300
That could be a PZEV vehicle. Simply unbolt and replace the pump.

Well you didn't show the fuel filter replacement
See here: www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mercedes-W204/120-FUEL-Fuel_Fliter_Replacement/120-FUEL-Fuel_Fliter_Replacement.htm
Ain't no tab to push😐
What part of the procedure are you having an issue with?
This isn’t the fuel pump it’s the fuel filter
This is the fuel pump that is shown being replaced.
