I have a Cesar Guerini Summit with 28 bore and .410 barrels, each in 32” multi choke with their own forend. It handles absolutely brilliantly with either set of barrels as the lesser weight in the .410 tubes is balanced out with the slightly heavier area in the chambers to fit the action. It’s one of the few smaller bore guns that I find handles like a serious contender when compared to the more budget alternatives. I’m trying not to sound snobbish here but the better quality gun is chalk and cheese to a budget alternative (to me anyway). It’s the first gun after 60 years in shooting that I’ve had in 28 bore and I’ve fallen in love with it as a bore. Tailored with the correct cartridge it’s no real detriment shooting a registered sporting and I can shoot it to my average (unless the targets are extreme). The .410 has real limitations but hardly surprising considering the ballistics. I save this just for fun and .410 specific competitions. I currently own guns in all bores from .410 to 10 bore (excluding the rarest anomalies in 36, 32, 24, 14, 14 3/4 or 18 bores, but have cartridges for each of these in my collection). As you can tell from my name, my heart is with 16 bores but 28 bore is now a close second. 😊
I myself have never owned one, but have many friends who do. In the 90s this was a real common thing, especially in skeet. I went the other route, tube set. 12 bore main gun and then Briley 20, 28, 410 gauge tube set.
Cool video, I like the concept of interchangeable barrels for different gauge using the same action.
I have a Lincoln 28g with 410 barrels. My Longthorne gun has 4 barrels : 12,16,20 and 28g all using the same fore end. I shoot the 16 & 28 most when traveling for upland bird hunting. The ability change gauge on a trip depending on the environment was a key selling point for me.
Cesar Guerini and Krieghoff have sold 4 barrel sets for years
Beretta silver pigeons are available with 20 and 28 bore barrels
This guy can tell the brand of ammo just by tasting the gun powder
I got my f3 in 2007 with 12 bore 20 bore and 28 bore .still got it today and very happy with it.
I bought a Franchi 20 yrs ago with extra set of 20ga bbl
If I am not mistaken you need to mention without being fitted by a gunsmith. You can swap barrels with a lot of guns once the barrels are checked and or fitted by a gunsmith.
Was that a misfire on the second pair???
What a great film, very interesting to see what’s out there in the marketplace.
My Blaser R93 shoots 22LR and 416 Remington Magnum.
And could fire 28G shorgun if you could find a barrel and bolt head.
Would love one if the barrels were turned 90 degrees.
Great idea. Surprising that more companies don’t do this.
I have a Beretta DT11 with 12ga and 20ga barrels. A 28ga barrel set is also available. Nothing unique about this.
What about a Perazzi, a Kreighof or even a Beretta 680 series O/U can swap multi gauge barrels.
Franchi did it years ago on a O/U shotgun , 12&20
ATA also has a Gun with 12 bore and 20 bore barrels for years...!
Nice video David👍. Would be possible for you to make a new video on Brain chokes? Thanks, Henk
Perazzi makes guns like that
Yes. If its good
Won't there be a big gap in the forend when the 410 barrels are on?
I’ve always thought the same
Would it be gauche to talk about prices on gun and subgauge barrels?
Glad you picked an affordable gun.😂😂😂😂
only if it is cheaper than buying a beginner gun
When you try to balance the gun on the hinge pin let's see it balance on the hinge rather than you take it off the hinge before we can see it's barrel heavy or stock heavy. We all can see what your doing.
Very nice
Whilst the concept itself is good, I’d personally rather have another gun in the cabinet.
No point just, buy a cheap 20 or 410 because how much will the spare barrels cost!🤷♂
5k for a brand new pair of barrels
Winchester made them
The price has got to be outrageous
Yeah. I bet for all 5 barrels. It would be 50 grand.
@@jameseray1979 in Aus bout 6-8k a barrel set
