I am in the uk I have two 16 bore side by sides one hammer gun that I bought new in 1974 when I was sixteen years old and a hammer less boxlock that my dad bought second hand in 1957 and with that gun he had a right and a left woodcock, That gun also has a pair of woodcock engraved on each barrel. The 16 Bore is my go to gun for all types of shooting and always will be, Nice to see a new 16 Bore on the market.
Got my first Citori last year in 16. N.O.S. /off the shelf Gran Sport from the 2010 era. Only 26" barrels, but I use it for grouse and woodcock in the brush. Would love a second one with longer barrels for some pheasant hunting.
I have just handed my Army & Navy 16 gauge hammerless to a young friend to keep it and use it for the rest of his life. The gun was made circa 1904 and was black powder/damascus when I acquired it. I had it nitro proofed. It still does the job beautifully and I have used it for 40yrs. I wonder if that Browning will still be about in 120yrs time, it does look at very nice gun.
i have just bought the 525 16 bore black shadow handles well the only choke i could get it to work well with was quarter so i had to buy another quarter it now performs very well on all game with a wide variety of cartridges .
You may remeber me having a session with you with my 16bore EM Reilly hammergun. Is still doing its stuff on a staple diet of Hull Pro 16 24gr. I shoot it most weeks and on a good day can give my buddies with their Brownings and Berreta's a hard time. Have had some new firing pins made as the originals were mushroomed. No surpries there as it over 100 years old. I have a source for Pro 16s and usually buya 1000. If all else fails have the kit to roll my own. Love it to bits and being llighter than a 12 bore, can stagger around with it for hours.
I am in the US & if this gun was available here I would buy one. I believe this model was available as an "Exclusive" from one of the major big box / online retailers 6 months ago but was only offered in 12 gauge for around $2000. The only 16 gauge offerings from Browning available here currently are priced too high for a gun you would actually use in the field. I will keep using my 16 gauge Stevens 77 that my Dad bought after work in the Caterpillar parking lot around 1970 for $27.
Interesting it's a shame that you've neglected the 410 market in the UK. A lot of people want to buy them but you don't seem to want to produce them I don't know who is heading your sales team but you are missing out on sales .

@@jamesfairmind2247 No, He was out on his own.
We do love the 16 in the states but you in the UK get a case and more chokes, we get cardboard box and three chokes, Here it's the Deluxe Hunter

Very interesting, 16 is the only gauge I don't reload at this time. The only reason I don't have a 16 yet.
did you say how heavy it is and barrel length? thanks
Nice gun and appreciate the video. What barrel length is that? And please show details of the Grade III/IV wood.😊
Nice, but expensive and limited ammo choice. I belive the frames are the same size 12 and 16 gauge, so I don't see any real advantage here over 12.
The frame on 16s are smaller than on 12 bore and there is more than enough ammo available for 16s.
@@prebaned Browning 16 bore gets a 16 frame.
Really like the forend !
We like them but can't afford to shoot them. And only in 26 and 28 inch. Lol
No point to expensive ammo !
Browning video, thats new

Whats the price and availability of the ammo for it ,bet its not the cheapest.
I'm from belgium and here its 11,80euro for 25 cartridges if you buy 250 cartridges gamebore 4 or 5 steel shot.
Got Lylvale 28gram 6 for £6.50 per box of 25, in NI
Ammo's going to be very expensive!
120 euro for 250 cartridges gamebore 4 or 5 steel shot. 50 euro for 25 bismuth cartridges.
Please do close ups of the guns! We want to see the guns you review, not you the whole time.
